So it turns out....I might have genital herpes....
I went to the doctor last week and they told me to call on Wednesday for my results. I was busy and never got the chance but my pharmacy called me to pick up my prescription. My doctor's office is closed on the weekends and today cause of the holidays so I can't call and confirm until Monday. I know it's for herpes because I spoke to my pharmacy's consultant on what the pills could be for and she told me genital herpes. If I was lucky the prescription was for someone else (as fucking if).
I have no outbreak, no symptoms, I have used a condom EVERY SINGLE TIME and yet.....
I got a prescription for acyclovir. I have to take it 4 times a day. I'll start tomorrow, tonight I'm just gonna try my best to get drunk.

Calm down. Herpes is not that big a deal. If you look up the statistics on genital herpes, you might be surprised how many people have it, particularly in the 40+ age group. It's also largely asymptomatic or very mild for most people who get it.
Just because your test came up positive, it doesn't mean you've been exposed on your genitals. Your exposure site could be on your elbow, for all you know. Without an outbreak there is no way to know for sure. HSV2 rarely does anything when it's not in your genital dermatome.
For these reasons it's excluded from most standard STD tests. A lot of people who say they've been tested have no idea what their actual HSV status is.
I wouldn't bother taking the meds unless you've got an outbreak or you're sexually active, because it will reduce your risk of transmission.
The stigma sucks, though.
