I have a friend with really bad genetics, he's the only member of his siblings expected to live past 50, one died at 27 just this year, he's a skinny twig, 5'10" and sub 60kg. I managed to get him benching up to 35kilos, it took months to get him to even that level.

Most of them have been lifting since freshmen year of high school or 8th grade even.

I know a few of these guys at my uni, in fact- I asked them how long they had lifted, figuring it was 2 years or so, but they had actually been lifting for 5-7 years.

Now it's not so impressive for them to be putting up 275 while weighing 200 lbs at 6'2", when they've been lifting for 10-20 times as long as you have.

Are you aware that strength is nearly at a 1:1 ratio with muscle cross sectional area?
Thus a person A with 50% the cross sectional area of person B in his pectorals is objectively stronger than person B as long as his bench press is over 50% of person B?

That example is a bit hard pressed. It's much easier to look at it this way: who's stronger, a 125 pounder benching 210 or a 210 pounder benching 275?

The 125 pounder is a hell of a lot stronger, and imagine how much stronger he'll be than the 210 once he adds another 20 pounds of muscle.

If I bring a set of pectorals with a mass of 5 kg and my little friend's are only 2kg, yet we max out with the same weight on chest flies, are we really equal in strength?

Bringing larger muscles to the gym is like bringing a car jack. More muscle mass= more motor units and stored energy- you're basically getting a cheat, like a car jack or bench shirt, in the form of more mass.
The smaller guy's strength comes from a honed CNS and insane coordination, whereas the bigger guy's comes from hunks of meat.

The person who moves the most weight with the least motor units is the strongest. They're doing more with what they have, and they have even more strength potential if they gain muscle.

If you think tight clothes don't add to your lifts you're delusional or never tried it.
When I wear underarmor tights on my legs or torso it adds to every one of my lifts.

Sleeves simulate an additional fascial layer on your quads and absorb energy, giving more to your stretch reflex on the squat. As long as they are reasonably tight, to IPF standards, you can get them right enough to increase your lifts.

I've noticed this before too.

One day ill be benching 160, then next time i go the the gym i get stuck under the bar at 100.

and when i dont bench for a week and then come back ill be benching 160 again.

There's an 18 year old who posted on /fit/ who achieved a 245x5x5 at 165 bodyweight on bench after 4 months

He hasn't posted since July I think...

There's also another guy with a 275 bench that is 17-18 who posted in April and then later this past summer- he looks like Jon Snow, if anyone remembers...


So it's very possible for natty guys to have a high bench in a short time, as frustrating as it is to DYEL cunts like me

Do pause bench and a high volume day. Heavy curls, triceps and back work is helpfull as well. And most important, focus more on bench than lower body for a while.

I curl 40kg at 3x10 followed by 4-5x12 at 12,5kg-15kg

Side note: I could do more but I have some sort of injury in both Forearms which makes it painful as sin to even grab the bar

I hope you do know the 40kg is performed on an EZ-Bar while the other Bicep exercise is Hammercurls with 15kg in each hand. It's not that much, my friend.

It's just genetics, hit them arms hard and the rest will follow. We are all going to make it brahs.
