>started lifting two years ago
>could do full sets of dips and chin-ups
>stopped lifting for a year
>just went back
>can still lift what I used to lift
>but can't do more than one dip or chin-ups/pull-ups
What are some good ways to get good at them again? I tried doing assisted dips and hanging at the bar everytime I could. Grip is giving in easily.

Do negatives for pullups and chins. Not sure for dips.I found assisted dips helped alot but assisted pull ups and chins didn't.

It's more a muscle memory thing.
Use a box to give yourself the last little squeeze to the top. Pull yourself up as far as you can then with one foot push yourself a little the last bit up.
I found this way to be far more effective than assited pullups, and after a couple of weeks went from being able to do 4 deadhang widearms to 9.

you can still lift what you used to lift but not with bw exercises because youve gained weight. solution is to lose weight fatty.

Did you put on a little extra weight? An extra 10lbs will make dips and chin ups WAY harder.
