Don't bother.

Most people here are permanent bulking fatfucks on SS who think taking care of their hearts is detrimental.

They're not actually concerned with being healthy, just looking like a wide retard.

Their resting heart rates are probably all over 70. Embarrassing really.

lmao what a fag I bet you don't even have gains
>>
>>34972209

I love running. On top of a couple of circuit training days and weight days a week its refreshing to get out and just run for an hour or so.
>>
>>34972230
I run six days a week and I lift six days a week, and I don't feel the least bit bad about it. I'm gaining strength and endurance I've never had before. I'm physically healthier than I've ever been. I was morbidly obese for 25 years, and I lost 65kg (from 155). I'm showing muscle development and better circulation, and my resting heart rate is 60, and not "check it when you first wake up" 60, I mean that's what my chart at miblood says. I fucking love to exercise.
>inb4 you'll never get big! You're destroying your gains!
I'm an adult and I do what I want to. I'm in there two hours a day every day running, lifting, swimming, and on the elliptical machine. I'm 38 years old and I'm not going to stop testing the limits of my new body.

No one had to. It's just the board culture. Cardio is often dismissed or laughed at. It's just how it is here, and I'm not even referring to the group of people who only mean to joke about it.

Chances are most people visiting the thread aim to look like wide retards and can't run for even 10 minutes, never mind 60. It's always an afterthought.

I think you missed the permanently bulking fatfucks part.

Powerlifters can lift heavy weights. Their hearts aren't exactly prospering.

Even those wide retards you see in competitions like Jay Cutler can't run for 60 minutes. Just about everyone posting in this thread would gas out in 20 minutes or less if they were running at a moderate pace, I'll bet.

Your personality here... It's abrasive and obnoxious. You might think it's an Internet only thing, but I promise, this is what's holding you back in life, stopping you from achieving your potential. This is why people don't want to be around you, dude. This is why your coworker who has only been there six months gets the promotion, why your best friend gets the girl. No amount of lifting is going to fix it. Get /fit/ in your head, senpai, for real, it's the hardest part. Be mentally strong. Be the kind of other person others want to be around and you will be successful.

If you can't run at a good pace for even 20 minutes, you've got issues. No matter how strong you are.

have you ever been in an SS thread, ever? every other post is "CAN I DO SS ON A CUT" and the rest are telling you to "bulk" on 200-500 calories above your TDEE (using a ridiculous calculator to poorly predict your true daily expenditure)

>>
>>34979616
Lifting is very healthy in itself. It not only helps you perform strength-based tasks more efficiently, but it also strengthens the muscles and helps hold you together. There's less chance of getting your head ripped off or your shoulder dislocated if your muscles are touch enough to hold everything in place. More than that, the constant force that your stronger muscles exert on your bones forces said bones to become stronger themselves and resist the force. Osteoblasts kick into overdrive and produce more osteocytes than osteoclasts can destroy.
Lifting alone won't make you the perfect human, but if all you do is lift, you're not necessarily unhealthy. A good diet and cardio regimen added to your lifting routine will certainly help you.

I feel more tired mentally then anything. I want to give up but just push through it.

Sometimes when I hear a song like Paint It Black it pumps me up then I sprint a couple of seconds or up the running pace.

I was never really a runner still I just stuck to it and made myself get over the slump mentally. I keep an even pace mostly now. I know if I stop my legs will start to hurt.

this is true it and amazes me people disrespect jay cutler by telling him to do cardio because jay cutler is an amazing athlete when sergei reading broke his arms performing his notorious 307lbs clean and press everyone wanted to get rid of it

but it was a young jay cutler the athlete and olympic champion who came and defended the lift and helped institute standards for judging the clean and press that prevented athletes going too far and hurting themselves

now 25 years later injury rates are at an all time low thanks to record holder jay cutler so i think it's ridiculous these guys are trying to force everyone to do cardio and claim jay cutler is not healthy when he made weightlifting more healthy than it's ever been
