How many pushups and sit-ups a day should I do if I just want more toned abs and more physical strength?

I'm 5'10 and 130 lbs.

I also eat pretty healthy, but I am a pretty skinny guy. Any tips for a scrawny guy?

lift weights at a gym, if that's not an option get adjustable dumbbells, a pull up bar, and a weighted vest/backpack. and EAT

Is there a limit as to what I should eat? Or should I just eat everything!?
>>
100 pushups. 100 situps. 100 squats. And a 10km run a day.

Don't listen to any of the trolls that say otherwise

Anyone know where I can get a spider-man suit like that?

Yes? More depth per say.

I really only want to increase my physical strength and just live a more healthy life. I don't want to be Brock lesnar.

This seems like a perfect workout just for all around well being/along with a stable diet like the other anon said. Thank you.

Also, should I do as many as I can in a row or in sets of 10? I'm pretty uneducated when it comes to this.

If you can do about 20 push-ups and 20 sit-ups quite rapidly but still with good form, then you have reached the peak of strength that body weight can give you in the muscles those exercises target. Doing more can only improve endurance/condition, not strength.

Sure, you can start into more difficult variations of those exercises, but there are only so many variations that don't just change the muscles targeted to smaller, weaker ones.

(By the way, sit-ups don't train abs, they hit the external obliques much harder. I think you do planks for abs.)

If you want to be strong, you need to do something where an identical movement can be progressively loaded to higher and higher resistance. The best method that fits these requirements is freeweight strength training.

Many people use "tone" to mean muscle definition. To get this, you need low enough body fat, and some muscular development. Again, strength training is the best way to develop muscle size.

This is a dedicated fitness board, you should probably only use "tone" in the technically correct sense: a measure of muscular readiness to do high power work. A toned muscle has increased concentrations of certain chemicals, and will feel significantly harder to the touch than a less toned muscle. If you want that "warm marble" effect, Olympic lifting is the best way to develop actual tone, speed sets right behind it.

At 130 pounds, assuming you're doing strength training at least three days a week, I suppose you shouldn't eat more than 3000 calories a day, or you'll risk getting fat. But if you're skinny already, I'm pretty sure your problem will be forcing yourself to eat enough, rather than over eating.

Obviously on a board where a lot of people do body building, you're going to run into people that do want to be Brock Lesnar.

Acting like touching a bar is going to blow you up like a body builder is honestly kind of infuriating. You need a well constructed and dedicated program that will run you several years before you could have a physique competitor's body.

It's not something you do by dicking around with some beginner's strength barbell program (but if you do it seriously, it is legitimately the best way to do what you're asking though).

Wondering now if this is bait.
