Uphill 100m sprints for gastrocnemius, soleus and tibialis growth, yay or nay?
>>34959642
think it will work, also staedy state walking on treadmill incline 10% or more get ur calfs pretty torn.
Anyone else sprint uphill?
>>34959642
DO NOT RUN UPHILL OR ON CONCRETE, OR BOTH, IF YOU ENJOY HAVING FUNCTIONAL KNEES
>>34960182
Sprint up a grassy bank or at a beach for added resistance but nah don't SPRINT a hill if you just a gym rat not a conditioned/seasoned runner

Does it really fuck up knees? Is it better for me to sprint on grass then?
>>34960182
The only thing in life that has fucked my knees is basketball. I love that shit but my knees hurt like fuck from the stance and jumping.
Who /liftforlidia/ here?
>>34960277
absolutely, unless you do it up grass or sand. Human knees weren't made to sprint or run on anything as hard as concrete, it will grind your menisci into nothing

my nigga

>>34960240
I think you guys mean to say don't sprint downhill. Uphill is much easier on your knees because you don't have a full range of motion, whereas downhill you have an extended rom and way more impact
>>34959642
Why spring?
I just put the treadmill at a 12% grade today, at a brisk pace, and walked while emphasizing calf extension (exaggerated heal to high toe gait)
>weird walk: keepin the body guessing
>>34960305
I am laughably bad at it though. But Ivm tall and have long as fuck arms so I just jump under the hoop most of the time.
