You've never even tried to not stuff your face all day, have you? I bet you're one of those 'lol permabulking :^)' fags. It's remarkably easy to transition over to IF and it doesn't even require /that/ much willpower

also I personally find it easier to eat at a deficit when I'm only having 2 meals and 1 snack. the first week or two will be hell, but if you have the willpower it becomes easy after that. it actually ends up being difficult to eat outside of that window, which can be annoying if you're hanging out with friends or family

I like it. Even though most people prefer to leave their last few meals to the evening before bed I actually recommend trying to stop eating about 4-6 hours before you plan to go to sleep. I've been doing this and find I go to sleep feeling not hungry, but not full either, then while you're sleeping you add plenty of hours on to your fast which makes it easy because you don't have to think about your hunger. Worth trying

working so far...

easy to follow and I see the weight shedding but I wouldn't put it all on IF, since I'm also doing carb cycling and eating well over 200g of protons a day, which is the method Martin Berkhan uses on his clients.

Are you training fasted? When do you have your last meal? I've read that some people can't sleep well because of fasting or low carbs.
>>
>2.2k calories to cut
>mfw 2 huge meals within 4-6 hours oh eachother

Weight just drops off I just make sure I get my protons in and have carbs on days I train and fats on rest days.
>>
>>34942440
how much have you lost in what time frame?
>>
>>34942431
IF inst super strict, as long as you eat a caloric deficit your gonna lose weight, the idea is your body eventually gets accustomed to burning fats once your glycogen stores are low ( I cant find any studies but its around 12-16 hours)
>>
>>34942431

That's why you eat enough in your feeding window, generally meals get a lot bigger during IF than on the traditional 6 small meals concept, making people a lot fuller and saciated.

It also, as everything in life, requires a bit of willpower

>>34942408
8 hours is good. to get used to it I think I might have done closer to 10
I would do my two meals on either end of the eating window and basically gorge myself. I've never been great at eating a ton in one sitting though, so I probably didn't go over 800 calories
then I'd have a snack at 3-4 to tide me over. anywhere from 1/4 cup or so of nuts/sunflower seeds to some yogurt with granola
>>
>>34942448
over 3 months I dropped from 200 to 170, it's slowed down dramatically these past few weeks but im around 11-12% bodyfat

>they are going to break and eat outside of the hours
No, they aren't. That's the point of doing IF, you stick with it. Check out kinobody, guy is doing it for 6 years, or so he says

>>34942438
sometimes I train fasted, haven't noticed any difference in strength doing it but best time to train is between meals IMO
My last meal is usually between 7 and 9 pm. I'll go to bed feeling full cause last meal is more than 1000kcal and sleep like a baby
>>
Eating is a chore

one less meal lets me skip breakfast and go right to work and slave away like i love to do. then i just eat lunch and dinner inside 6 hours

>>34942454
so why not just cut out the carbs?

>>34942460
i've been doing this a while now...
no hungrier

>>34942463
so generally diet and exercise works quicker for weight loss then
as i dropped 55lb in 3 months
>>
What about the difference between working out fasted or inside your feeding period. I've heard working out fasted is better and it makes sense to burn more fat.

But i've been eating a light lunch like 500-600 cals then work out 2-3 hours after then a big dinner like 1200 cals including shake with a 6 hour feeding time and seeing great result after 2 months + obvious deficit.

I am active during my fasting period, just not lifting weights until later in the day.
>>
>>34942503

you mean keto diet?

>>34942523

>>
It's just time management.
Caloric deficit is more important.
>>
>>34942529
What's your weight / height? I used http://sareyko.net/leancalc/ to calculate and it gave me 1500kcals on rest days and 2366 kcals on training days. (71kg / 178cm)

>>34942542
That's one of the points of leangains
>>
I like it. It's simple to do especially for cutting. Usually 8, my eating window is 12 - 8pm which is easy to maintain. You just don't eat breakfast.
>>
>>34942534

>>34942573

>>
>>34942523
>pass out
kek, just try it before you start making stupid assumptions. I'll just drink a cup of coffee and haven't noticed any drops in strength or endurance

>>34942542
no, in that pic workout day means refeed day, I do 1 or 2 refeeds per week to stop my body from adapting to a prolonged calorie restriction. But eating more on workout days is a common thing to do while on IF

>>34942559

>>
>>34942503
>I dropped 55 pounds in 3 months
Doesn't mean anything, different people have different bodies, metabolism etc.
I mean good on you for losing that weight, but you really can't make the comparison
Maybe it's easier to IF for this person that gym and diet?
Maybe he's not concerned about timing and doesn't mind it happening over a longer period?
You don't know what he's doing outside of IF, and we don't know what you do exactly
If your killing yourself in the gym and dieting hard, of course you'll have better results
>>
>>34942699
also. if his calories in and out are better than mine then he will get better results.

only reason i was saying was i think that regular diet and exercise is much more maintainable over longer periods.
>>
It works. IV done it for a few months. Lost about 15-20lbs.

It's simple. You just don't eat as much food. Hard to cram yourself with thousands of calories when you only have an 8 hour consumption window.

You simply feel full during the 8 hours your shoveling food in to yourself=end up eating less food.

Don't make it too complicated you autists.
>>
I have a friend who tried IT and his weight did drop, however his bf% did not.

6'2" btw. Didnt get all into it. Just did eat stop eat by Brad Pilion. Didnt even get on the scale the first month, but when I did I dropped 20 in about five weeks. Easiest way to lose weight ever. Its a bit tough the first two weeks, but now its automatic, and not uncomfortable at all.

>>
Started IF three months ago, and it's working for me. I don't think there's any magic in it, like the paleofags would like you to believe, but it just helps with my appetite.

I'm the kind of guy who orders 2 pizzas, and then, hour after orders a big kebab, but with IF, I can control my appetite much better. It's so much easier to not eat in the morning, then eat a lot, than eat a little throughout all day. I just felt hungry all day long before IF, now I'm okay - somehow my body doesn't care about hunger until I start eating.
>>
>>34942408
I'm doing 8 hours, 14:00 (2pm) to 22:00 (10pm). Tried different lengths, works good for me. I start that late because on average two time a week, I get to home at 21:00 (9pm), and I have eaten already only 400 to 600 calories.
>>
>>34946148
Yeah, this is the good thing in it. You totally don't feel hungry until you break your fast. Then you put all your daily macros into your head over a short period of time, and you're done. So easy.
