I've lifted for 5 months now. I'm 5'9 18 years old. Here is the progress I've made
>105lbs to 130lbs then slowly back down to 110lbs
>Thats a lb a month in total
>Squat: 44lbs to 115lbs for 3x5
>Bench: 44lbs to 85lbs for 3x5
>DL: 80lbs to 210lbs 1x5
I don't even struggle to eat. I'm actually hungry a lot of the time. When I counted calories I consistently gained but I became obsessive about it.

I'm just going to eat everything in sight from here on in. See you on the other side

While not phenomenal progress, it's still progress. Don't give up, you will make it, we all will.

holy shit you are spooky skeleton status... or a girl?

So first you gained 25 fucking pounds and THEN you slowly(wtf) got back down to 110 pounds in ONLY 5 months. Man, you've been gaining and losing weight way too fucking quickly, and NOW you say you want to start eating everything in sight???
You're setting yourself up for a major failure, pal.

By the way your progress isn't that bad - your starting point was. You need some motherfucking patience. You're only 18. You're whining about only gaining a pound a month? Imagine a pound a month for the next 10 years. That'd take you to a 225 lbs monster.

To put things into perspective, I've been training for a number of years and don't expect to be able to gain more than 10 lbs more at the most for the rest of my lift. And it will take years.

You mean spoopy Mr. Skeletal status?
>>
>>34927862
Dude, he's fucking 5'9'' 110lbs. He should be gaining something like 10 pounds in two weeks. He's literally clinically underweight.

I gained 25lb of mostly lean mass in less than 3 months eating a counted 3000kcal a day. Extreme skellies can put on lean mass very quickly
>>
>>34927802
>I don't even struggle to eat. I'm actually hungry a lot of the time.

that doesnt even make any sense. if youre hungry then youre not eating enough man. of course theres no struggle you arent even fucking trying. i got my deadlift up to 415 from 145 after 6-7 months of SS. come on step it up.
>>
>>34927908
>>34927912
If it were lean mass he obviously wouldn't have felt the need to cut it away again....
>>
>>34927802
Dont do 5x5 do 3x10

especially 3x5 is useless as fuck
>>
>>34927802
What kind of stupid ass shit are you doing? Just eat some fucking food and lift the goddamn weight.

yeah 3x5 looks real useless

5 sets of 3?
>>
>>34928023
no
>>
>>34927948
I didn't mean to cut. I went on holiday and lost shittonne of weight, as I couldn't get to the gym. Ever since I've just been slowly losing weight through not eating enough. I keep self sabotaging myself thinking that I've eaten enough to gain. Feel free to bully me, I need it
>>
>>34927987
Did he really GOMAD or is this a troll picture?
>>
>>34928119
i guess, that's what he says. the pic is real and it's from the SS forum

>it took me around 6-8 months to get to those numbers, because i didn't do SS the whole time, and i had to rehab an elbow injury
>>
>>34928145
He clearly put on a little fat, but that's a damn fine bulk, I guess he was just really active
>>
>>34927802
Holy shit OP. Everyone is different, it looks like you've made quite a bit of progress though. Just keep eating and keep lifting.

If you dont feel like that's working change your workout and/or your diet, just know that change isn't going to happen overnight.

ive been 67kg (5' 7) for the past year. dont kno what the fuck im doing wrong
>>
5 8.5
56 to 60 kg Lean mass
4 months of Greyskull
Is that good?
>>
>>34928879
Yes. You're better than you was 4 months ago. If that's not a measured LBM increase you could have gained quicker but it doesn't matter

Jewsus, this is why you should start with SS or some basic shit. Too many newbs fall for a PPL/greyskull/brosplit and then they get shit results. Stick with compound exercises 3 times a week and focus on form and progressive overload. Eat more and don't start adding exercises until you have a solid base.
>>
>>34929594
GSLP is basically 3x5 with some curls.
>>
>>34928832
Not eating enough obviously. Did you even try counting calories or upping the intake each week until you see weight gain?
>>
>>34928145
Wait wait wait wait

So I'm supposed to believe that this guy went from 155x5x3 on bench to 275x5x3 in eight months while having an elbow injury? I'm finding myself highly suspicious.

And in regards to OP, those aren't bad results, it was fucking 5 months that you didn't have good dedication during. Did you really think you'd be repping 3 plate squats? Just keep going and don't puss out.
>>
>>34929594
I am doing SS, but I stall all the time
>>
>>34929594
what do u consider a solid base?
when do i more onto a dif routine
>>
>>34929699
Why? Those gains are certainly possible for 8 months. You don't need gear for it, only proper technique, nutrition, sleep and discipline.
>>
>>34927862
Thanks, Scooby. I really admire everything you do for the community.

These guys are right. In the past I put on 10 lbs of lean mass in a single month. I was so thin that it looked lean. >>34927908
>>34927912
>>
i hate squats so i stopped doing them
im just working out chest arms and back now, ive got massive enough legs from being an ex-fatty already
might pick them up in a year or so
