Why don't modern gyms encourage people to be nude, and in fact forbid it? I just wanna admire the aesthetics of he male bodies around me when working out, to follow the artistic, athletic and philosophical traditions of our Greek ancestors. No homo, of course.

I agree that it'd be neat to have a place devoid of that sort of stigma with nudity though to just hang out and get fit.

Seriously though, its because northern countries have fully adopted cold because there four seasons, and the fact that it gets cold creates a taboo on nakedness because we expect close. Only in the tropics do we see true acceptance for nudity.
