I fell for the strength compounds and 3x5 memes. Now I just do a 5-day split focused on machines isolation with high volume and super sets and actually make gains.

Yeah, what broscientists don't tell you is that you are actually putting stress on opposite muscles during one of the phases. So if you do pull the day after push, for example, your biceps will be slightly weaker from doing tricep exercises during the non-working phases.

5-day split is pretty cool tho.

You don't have to do a lot if you're not a powerlifter. Everything is doable at home with a modest setup, except maybe a heavy leg workout if that's your thing.
