>Remember those commercials for the AbSonic? Some scrawny nerd just invented a electronic device like that that can actually fucking build muscle size and strength! Not only that, it can work across the whole body at once without you even feeling it and with no signs of side-effects. It can be yours today for only $50.
>The inventor says he plans on tackling weight loss next.

How do you react knowing that anyone can be fit now?

cool blog

>How do you react knowing that anyone can be fit now?

Jews have been selling fake body-transformation shit since ancestors of yours whose names are lost to time were trying to grow their foreheads and shrink their big toes.

>Jews have been selling fake body-transformation shit since ancestors of yours
But sooner or later someone's actually going to be successful in making it. If you told someone 100 years ago that in the future you could transmit and receive video of hardcore pornography across the world with transmitters the size of your wallet instead of just audio from something the size of a microwave oven, they'd look at you like you were insane, then ask what a microwave oven is. Building muscle has been the same for the entirety of human civilization, but we know more about human anatomy than ever before and we're still learning. It'll happen within the century.

Damn straight.

But this isn't it.

>But this isn't it.
I just wanted to know how people on this board would react if something like this actually were invented. I don't see a reason why something like what I described couldn't be made.

They're called steroids.
>>

stfu and gtfo with your stupid bullshit

>I don't see a reason why something like what I described couldn't be made.

It's a mixture of physics, biology, and chemistry.

How would /fit/ react if all of a sudden people could become fit from a device or a pill?

It would depend on what the negative effects are, how much it costs, and a few other factors.
>>
>>34884041
Now this is the kind of reaction I was expecting. One of denial and violent opposition.
>>
>>34884032
>They're called steroids.
The problem with that is you still need to exercise for steroids to do anything. There's also a ton of side-effects and you need to keep buying them to keep your gains.

>>34884052
>It would depend on what the negative effects are, how much it costs, and a few other factors.
I tried to cover that, I said $50 and explained that it was electronic, so it'd just be a one-time payment, and no signs of side-effects. I figured that would be enough.

good thread, bumping for visibility

It would depend on whether or not people used it.

It would depend on if you still needed to eat clean to maintain the effects.

Again, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration.

>Caring about what an anime fitness board thinks about things

Are you 12? Do you have friends? This is the saddest thread ive seen in ages, you dont want advice or anything. Are you seriously coming up with hyperthetical scenarious just to make conversation with a bunch of autists on 4chan?
>>
>>34884414
>It would depend on whether or not people used it.
I'm sure more people would use it than be willing to admit they use it. I'm sure some of the people I know would use it simply to make simple daily tasks easier.

>It would depend on if you still needed to eat clean to maintain the effects.
I don't see why you would need to. That seems more like the kind of thing you'd expect from weight loss, not muscle gain.

>Again, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration.
I suppose, but I'm having difficulty thinking of more.
>>
>>34884253
No you don't. It's been proven in clinical trials that muscle growth in a group of steroid users who didn't train was greater than muscle growth know a group of natural people who trained.

Serious question, but do you even lift?
>>
>>34883839
You'd still be able to tell who the fatties are.

People don't understand; being fit (or /fit/, to distinquish between natties and those using a "miracle solution) is a lifestyle.

Fit people will take their pill or use their muscle-contraction suit and look okay or maybe even have some decent musculature.

But they'll still be lazy, greedy, obnoxious, and unmotivated. Fat people aren't /fit/ people that just happen to be fat. Fatness is the physiological manifestation of unhealthy personality traits.

/fit/ people might even at some point in the bizarro future not be as buff as their "fit" non-natty fatty counterparts. But they'll still be motivated, likely more productive, and generally more disciplined people, and it'll show.

Even if /fit/ starts using that miracle drug themselves, they'll likely have more accuracy in sculpting the outcome since they'd be more aware of how to tune their use of it/supplement it with natty workouts, and it'd just give them more time to be productive in another area.

Yes, but training is not the same as exercising. You can only really say you -never- exercise if you're paralyzed from the neck down.

>>34884683
>Serious question, but do you even lift?
No, I do cardio. :)

>>34884805
That's why I mentioned weight-loss at the end.
>>
this might be a thing by the time we're about to die of old age, fortunately for already fit people it's very difficult if not impossible to replicate the effects of physical activity through noninvasive means.
They've found some pieces of the puzzle but the whole story is pretty complex
>>
>>34884884
oh, but HRT will be pretty standard practice by the time we're in our 40's.

>But they'll still be lazy, greedy, obnoxious, and unmotivated. Fat people aren't /fit/ people that just happen to be fat. Fatness is the physiological manifestation of unhealthy personality traits.
I always saw it as simply being a difference in priorities. People who spend time lifing weights usually do so because they're in some way or another obscessed with their own body-image, think it'll get them laid more, or simply use it as a way to look-down on others the way vegetarians look down on meat-eaters for having a different lifestyle. I find it hard to believe that /fit/-people are any more motivated, productive, or disciplined than everyone else, they just have different priorities. Willpower is finite, so some people can't be bothered to exercise because they regularly spend their willpower on things that matter to them more.
>>
>>34884253
>I want a miracle pill with no side effects
bruh if such a thing were possible the pharmaceutical industry would wage war over it. It would be a fucking madhouse. Side effects are an inherent part of synthetic medicine, no way around it
>>
>>34884911
I lift primarily because I enjoy it. The health benefits of exercise are just an added bonus to me. I think a lot of people dislike exercise because they have always been exposed to it under the circumstances that they have to do it for a seemingly arbitrary reason (I'm talking about PE class). Nobody became a runner after running a mile around the track for a grade. Lifting appealed to me when I was a skinny teenager because I didn't want to be weak and skinny anymore. I really enjoyed the sense of accomplishment from breaking an old pr, so I just kept doing it. If you want people to exercise you have to advertise it to them in a way that will get them to enjoy it.

Lol you salty... something happened to you, bro?
