Anyone else agree that the back is the most important upper body muscle group? Your back is literally the center point for anything you do, provides stability, and is vital for athletic performance. Why do you prioritize your bench when you could be getting gargantuan lats?
>>
Squats and deadlift only crew reporting in, i literally never do chest.
>>
>>34882823
That is amazing. The chest really is a non important muscle which gets worked enough simply from deadlifts
>>
Agreed brah, wish I'd known this when I was younger. A bigger stronger back helps your bench and OHP even. Maybe squat slightly

Back is by far the most important muscle group for functionality and aesthetics imo
>>
>>34882834
I do everything for big strong legs and back. Literally the sexiest, manliets and most important muscle group there is.

Rows, pause squats, hypers, ATG highbar
>>
A girl loves nothing more than a massive back. The back is also a sign of general strength and dominance imo. Nothing more intimidating than walking onto the sports field or court and seeing a guy with a huge back
>>
>there are people who dont train the parts that protect your spinal column and nerves
>>
>>34882895
Yuuuuupppppp
>>
Ever since I started doing weight training I've wanted a strong back. Even though I'm dyel my girlfriend loves how the new valleys and ridges feel on my back now.
>>
>>34882908
Thick erectors hnnnnnnnnnnnng
>>
>>34882908
Good for you brother. I would definitely focus on training that back up as much as possible. If you really focus on the back, you won't be dyel anymore faster than focusing on any other muscle.
>>
>>34882868
no, grills think that having abs is sign of strength, it's been scientifically proven

Your heart is the most important muscle.
>>
Literally only variations of deadlifts, talking widegrip pulls etc etc and squats, and some dips for dat dere overhead lockout strength... And fucking look at him, people actually believe that you need to do 10 sets of 15 isolating small muscles to not look dyel
>>
>>34882949
>thinking this guy doesnt do bench press or any isolation exercises

kek
>>
>>34882944
Are you telling me to do cardio?
>>
>>34882970
>thinking he wants any additional unneeded weight when he wants to stay as light as possible for competing in his weightclass
>>
>>34882970
I doubt he does any more than one isolation exercise
>>
>>34882977
are you implying cardio kills gains?
>>
>>34882985
Chinese training includes bodybuilding isolation. Also he's on PEDs, and is a genetic freak. He's one of the best lifters in the world and you think that your shitty body will look the same from doing 225 lb snatch deadlifts.

Yeah okay
>>
>>34882949
My god those fore arms are just....
>>
>>34882999
trips of truth.

also no matter how much you shit on isolation exercises, side lateral raise is one of the most useful lifts out there, outside of the major compounds and oly lifts.
>>
I'm gonna do deadlifts every day I'm gonna train in december, any routine for the best progress or should i stick with 5x5?
>>
>>34882970

>thinking he benches

wot
>>
>>34882795
I'd say you can create a pretty good athlete with deadlifts, squats, and power cleans. All of these exercises require stabilization via the core and lower back, and make use of the tremendous amount of force that can be transferred from the lower body. I would also say a good upper back would come in handy, you can build a pretty good amount of strength in the back by just doing pendlay rows or really any type barbell row.
>>
>>34883011
do sets of 15 reps on deads, im not kidding. It will keep the weight light enough to not get burned out and you will add massive size and strength doing it.
>>
>>34883011
I really hope you're joking. Deads should have 2 days of rest after, since they tax your cns so much work so many muscles
>>
>>34883016
>doesn't know jack shit about chinese oly
hi there, newfriend :^)
>>
>>34883024
I said every day i'm gonna train. Not every day in december.
>>
>>34882949
m8 anyone on the chinese national team has been fed all the test and hgh money can buy since the time they were 12. If you do a shitload of roads for years while also olympic lifting you'll have a big chest too.

I do a variation early in the week (Romanians, deficit, SLDL etc - pick one) and heavy sets on the final week's training day.

I'm a late novice early/intermediate but I've found 3x5 on the variation and 1x5 or 2x3 (+ some back off sets if you like) for the deadlift work well.
>>
Is the horizontal bar enough for upper back group?
>>
>>34883132
What are you talking about?
>>
>>34883137
Working the horizontal bar.
>>
>>34883145
Lol you need to clarify. If you're just talking about tbar rows, then no. Your back needs a lot of volume, or a lot of intensity since it's so big

with wide enough back you can easily pull off even 15%bf look

and if you're skele it immediately makes you look 10x better (picrelated Ronaldo at 6ft2 170-180lbs)
>>
>>34883365
Are you retarded? Anon is right. It's not a fucking chest isolation exercise, but it gets worked stabilizing the bar. Gtfo, fag
>>
>>34882795
