I thought he was taller. I know other Bonds are mostly 6'+, like real life mobile ops are shorter so they don't stick out and don't look threatening so it's always been a bit of an inconsistency.

P sure Dusan Popov was over 6' or was 6'. So real life Bond was similar to most Bond actors.

true. that is actually the only thing I really want more money for.
although you can do quite good with a nice body and getting your suits altered to your needs.
>>
>>34878317
According to the guy who did the suits for Spectre, they made many copies of each suit for different scenes. The main suit was cut so tightly Craig could barely run in it.

Usually 1 year of consistent lifting (using proven programs that work) and disciplined eating should get you there.

But once you get started and see your first gains you want to have more muscle than that anyways...

If you're 6 feet or over, there's no question that you're not a manlet. If you're below that, it can be called into question, but you aren't necessarily a manlet just because you're 5'10". Depends on your company.

>What is the height cutoff for manlet

>/fit/ cutoff
6'2"
>Internet cutoff
6'0"
>real life cutoff
5'8"

I don't have it on me, but someone posted an attractiveness % based on height and it formed a lopsided bell shaped curve.

Ideal height is 6'0", with a slight decrease with each inch to 6'4" and then after that it plummets.

The drop off from each inch below 6'0" is larger than the drop off for each inch above but is still somewhat marginal, until you reach 5'8" Once you hit 5'7"-5'6" you're looking at extreme drop offs and at 5'5" and below you're totally fucked.

to be fair there is literally no explanation for the sudden rise in height from an evolutionary standpoint its a crapshoot that severely undercuts your lifespan and aging health.
Though sterons being out in animals might have something to do with it we really have no proof

>>34880744

>>
>>34879467
>>34878809
Average here is currently argued on whether it is 6'0 or 6'1 but statistics are bullshit so we have no idea
Also Nords are the only known consistent producer of tall people(which we still have no clue about btw) and the recent spike in height for men and women has come from the dutch breeding with so many other races and probably gub'ments shooting up animals with hormones and shit for greater production value

To be fair there is literally an obvious explanation for the rise in height.

Humans for the first time in the past 100 years or so are starting to eat a quality diet.

If you have access to a supermarket (and since you're posting online, I assume you do) you are eating better than the Ancient Chinese Emperor, Caesar, King Louis or even Josef Stalin ever ate.

It turns out that eating a variety of grains, vegetables, high protein fish and meats, poultry make you larger, healthier and stronger than subsisting largely off of 1 grain and limited access to vegetables and meat once a week, if that.

Humans evolved as hunter gatherers, seeing our health improve dramatically exactly as we started varying our diet again makes all the sense in the world.
>>
>>34880866
I'm not familiar with the type of thing I'm seeing
>>
>>34880881
It doesn't explain for the vikings sudden height explosion almost 1200 years ago when their lands were actually some of the shittiest farmlands in all the world
Also we stopped baking everything we ate after the 1950's that that might have had something to do with it too.
I jsut find it hard to believe such a massive jump in size could happen in such a short period and like I said the hormone animal thing still hasn't been proved
>>
>>34878472
I mean that makes sense. Have you ever tried to move suddenly in a nice suit or a tailored tuxedo? That's always been the single biggest "WTF" in Bond movies (and they involve space lasers and shit), the fact that he can wear what he wears and still fight.
>>
>>34880948
The average male Viking was 5'7", not much taller than the average Saxon or Frank man.
http://listverse.com/2009/04/21/top-10-misconceptions-about-the-vikings/
Almost everything about the Vikings being stronger had to do with the fact that they ate more fish and a higher protein diet than other Northern Europeans who ate a diet almost exclusively in grain.

We have a very useful test case as to how nutrition changes a population's height in North and South Korea.

The Koreas are one population in every way that was arbitrarily split down the middle 60 years ago. In those 60 years, South Koreans are noticeably taller than North Koreans, a total of somewhere between 3 and 4 inches observable, possibly as high as 6 inches.
http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-17774210

The Koreas are a perfect (and sad) example that diet as a child trumps genetics when it comes to adult height.
>>
>>34880795
>(which we still have no clue about btw)

We drink a fuck ton of milk
>>

Interesting, you ever had fresh from a cow milk or warm milk?
I've always wondered what they both taste like. Especially warm milk since refrigeration is a very modern thing
>>
>>34881152

Neither. Just cold refrigerated milk.

It's a staple of our diet. That and cheese. We're not lactose intolerant so we get them sick dairy gains from literally day one.

The average height in the US is 5'10". The average height throughout Scandanavia is 5'11". It used to be higher, because it was self-reported instead of measured. Most men think they're taller than they are, and mis-estimate heights around them because of it.

64% of the population in both places is within 2" of average height.
>>
>>34881542

My passport says 183cms (taken when I was 18)

I measured a few weeks ago (23 now) and I'm still 183cm. That's 6ft blank.

I-I still wish I had one last growth spurt ;_;
>>
>>34881610
Sure sure. I didn't mean to imply that the mis-estimation was only due to being wrong about their own height.
People are just generally a lot worse at guessing measurements than they think. A lot of height has to do with presence or build I guess. The number of people who are surprised when I mention I'm 5'9" is crazy. Everybody apparently assumes I'm taller.
