Why would I spend valuable training time trying to bench 225 for as many reps as possible instead of on things that would actually improve my bench?

Never tried it for reps. I would estimate 9 or 10 though. I did 225 for 5 in my second warm up set in tonight's workout and it was very comfortable. Pumped out 4 at 270. I would say I'd definitely get 8 at 225 if I was going for reps, 10 probably maximum comfortably, not sure if I push to failure.

Realized that my shoulder strength and mobility were shit and am just now figuring out how to use chest.

funny thing, I never go above 200

even tho I can do 5*10-ish good reps with it

the reason is hard to explain ... I feel the pressure in my wrists is just too high.

Bench is weird. I can do 275 for 8 reps but 285 i can only do one usually. Sometimes I miraculously rep out 3-4 but this is very rare. After 265 ill just do singles up to 315.

The weight is just too much for the stabilizers or something and also i have a hard time controlling breathing.

My best 2 plate was for 16 reps. It was very fast touch and go though.
