I've tried the keto diet before due to the quick returns so to speak but that never stuck cause its hard to just wake up one day and not be able to eat even basics like bread

Look at the reccomended cut count.
Subract it by another 500 cals.
Keto is pointless. Just diet regularly.

So start with conventional, if that turns out to be a struggle after 2 months, consider Keto
You have to spend more energy tracking on Keto tho, as well as take vitamin supplements, but vitamin supps are always adviseable when cutting
