How much important is stretching?
Do you stretch regularly? How old are you? Does stretching becomes more important as you get old?

And as a result, i cannot perform power cleans...
i dont stretch except for my groin, i can perform a standing pike cold and i dont feel as secure during compound movements specifically squats and deads

After doing SL for like 4 weeks I started noticing how bad my flexibility really was. I started stretching pretty regularly and am so glad I did. Helps me achieve better form and feel less prone to injury.
I do 4 main exercises for stretching. Don't know the names of them, or if they have names, maybe you guys know?:
1. Get on my hands and knees and arch spine fully, then round spine fully, repeat both 10 times.
2. Also on hands & knees: the dog pissing movement where you lift one leg out the to side and the opposite arm to the side, then alternate. Repeat 10 times each side.
3. Reach down to the floor from standing position, walk my hands forward til i'm in a plank, then walk my feet in tiny steps back up to my hands. Repeat 10 times.
4. Lunges aaaaaalll the way til my back knee almost touches the floor, and reach the opposite arm up to the ceiling. Repeat 10 times.

I stretch hip, legs and quads nightly or I have sciatic pain. I'm 30.

Limber 11 before every workout. Makes lifts much more solid.
Not much stretching after/on off-days. Maybe I should start doing them.
