Some of the boutiques that carry rick are p pretentious. Was at Serpentine in Toronto a few months ago and the two dudes in at the time pissed me off real good. Store seems to kinda have a reputation for shit employees too, never had any issues with the other boutiques in Toronto either.

For the guy bitching about spence clothing, I'm sure it says on their website that their items are defective or damaged because all their items on eBay are listed as damaged/defective. Basically their stuff is used in actual runway shows or prototype models that aren't even finished/complete. I've also seen some pieces where the leather on boots got fucked up by water or humidity damage, etc...sometimes it's just fine though but they just list everything as possibly defective so you can't return them and claim they weren't messed up.

I did a rough measurement and they're about 27" from top to bottom at the longest. I'm 5'8" or so and on me, when I tie them just above above my hips, they sit two or three inches below the bottom of my knee.
I took a bad picture for reference but it doesn't do a super good job of showing how long they are, so hopefully everything else gives you a good enough idea.

It's difficult to put in to concrete terms - at least for me. I can see things and immediately tell you they are gimmicky, but I don't think I could tell you exactly why. And it gets difficult to make blanket statements about it. I could say that all-over prints are tacky and gross, but then I'll see an all over print that is an exception to that rule. So I guess it's very subjective!
