Well "demand" for a niche game like this with such constricted appeal it can be hard to really gauge and grasp. If by demand they just mean "General popularity /success in their native region" it may never get "big enough" for them to feel it's worth expanding it over seas. Personally, I do enjoy engaging stories with size elements, but they have to be just that: engaging. It's nice if the author acknowledges giantess fetishism, giving a wink and throwing a bone here and there, but it's not required. I'm able to compartmentalize that sort of thing, I guess. Shrink High and Felarya both used to have TV Tropes pages before The Great Purge. And also - the entire TV Tropes community agreed some time ago that Fetish Fuel pages were usually just cringey stories, so they deleted all of them.
But I do agree that Super Dreadnought Girl was pretty "mainstream" - or not fully intended as fetishy. There's a few nods, but it's mostly innocent. That's totally fair; I recognize not everything was made to target my dick. And I feel like, plotwise, the use of monsters was a big help. It also makes the romance and sweet scenes stand out more.
Ultimate Girls can't use the same excuse, since it's ecchi. The characters' shame of being seen naked is the source of their strength. The fights are usually somewhat sexually suggestive. It's completely done to arouse people, so making the enemies giant girls wouldn't remove anything; unless there are people who specifically get off to giant monsters raping things. Again, though, I know it wasn't made for my dick alone, and I can appreciate the tastes of those who are aroused by monster dicks; but I feel the market for giant-girl-on-giant-girl is a bit larger.
I was going to bring this up last post, but I thought it was off-topic. To continue the food metaphor, engaging stories in giantess works are the condiments on top of a meal for me. If I care more about the people and what they're going through, I care more about the interactions. And things like SDG were obviously made for a more "general" audience, so I'm not expecting them to toss in fetish scenes. But I've seen a number of works specifically targeted towards giantess fetishists that let the plot get in the way of the faps. Writers can get wrapped up in their own worlds and focus so much on making the story serious that they forget what attracted the audience, and have nothing to fall back on if the plot fails. When I exclusively want and engaging story, I open a book; I don't browse giantessworld or /d/.

Sometimes, the same person will be there for a different thing depending on the time of day. Even as someone who considers the arousing parts the "base" of the meal, I recognize that a solid plot will leave the whole experience much more memorable.
When I look at it this way, the problem in the mentality I used is that I'm assuming what I like is what everyone likes, and fetish works are being made specifically for me. In the end, it's up to the creator how they want the story to go, how much effort they put in it, and how much focus they put on it.

Yeah, once you start to get away from that solipsistic attitude of "I don't like it therefore it's shit," it becomes a lot easier to not get so upset when stuff doesn't conform to your tastes and to just respect others for doing what they wanna do. I've backed out of plenty of stories where I just had to tell myself, "Self, this clearly isn't for you." And that's fine. Honestly, I think it shows when someone's just writing something out of some self-imposed obligation based on what they think others might like and when they're writing what they really like.
