But yes, I'd love a watersports-assignment such as 'public urinal' since the above event already enters watersports-territory. I also already thought about additional sets of rules. Such as a piss based diet option. Or something like 'bladder rules', with options like

But the difference is that a human absolutely has to pee. You can't actually force someone to just 'stop'.
I guess that idea would be executable if the Slave Description/End Of The Week Report would mention it with something like:

With an Obedience/Hatred and Trust/Fear Outcome depending on her current opinion of you.
Brats would obviously hate and fear you more for forcing them to do something similar while slaves with the humiliation fetish could maybe get a kick out of being forced to beg for release or forced to piss on their underwear.
This'd also open up opportunities for weekly events in which a .. say, disobedient slave with the humiliation fetish is caught breaking her bladder-rule. You could then choose among several options. For example, there could be an option that forces her to walk around inside your arcology while having wet her pants/wetting her pants in public or before a crowd.

Recently I went and tracked down the least retarded Nyotai Kyouran. There's still a bunch of silly shit going on and some of those fetishes are kind of dumb but I managed to find the stuff I like really quickly. The most recent one is 1.07. Just extract the game and then extract the patch to the game's folder letting it overwrite everything.
I still don't know what's good about the game or if anything is good about it at all. Been playing it for like 12 hours and I'm not really making progress with anyone. Like I've done a couple events and stuff but I don't know what anything does and I can't communicate with other people aside from sexually harassing them, even my secretary who's used to getting fucked every night doesn't trust me enough to trade or exchange phone numbers. Also the hacking minigame is atrocious. It's like Alpha Protocol but the game is set up kind of shitty so it's hard to know if you've found the right code or if the game just slowed down for a couple of seconds.

Grab the staves type weapons, early game. They have extra range that will help tremendously until you get used to it.

Also, don't do the goblin mission first - or the bodyguard one. Start easy. Babysit. Gather plants. Kill easy, isolated mobs in the first screens outside of town.

This. The game holds promise but I also got kind of disappointed by certain slaver behaviors and general balancing. Doing relatively well, having some spare cash and enough of supplies to ensure living + some slaves willing to service them and my slavers are still ungrateful pricks, losing morale over days upon days because one of them fucked up some small mission of little importance while so many other things were going well.

I understand that shit happens, I understand that sometimes an easy task can turn into fuckfest that'll claim some life but the fact that every one of your slavers is a spoiled brat who gets pissy despite being fed, equipped and provided with free lay and some spare cash for their vice is kind of disappointing.

I understand some unloyal, uncouth faggot grumbling about getting guarding job or being sent into the wilds to look for shrooms and stuff for the dinner, but when every one of them is like that, I really feel the lack of ability to bitchslap them into semblance of professionalism.

I partially understand the low morale thingy, if your camp is some ramshack shithole in the woods but it doesn't seem to be the case if you can open a brewery etc the moment you'll hire someone for the job. Maybe current positions could be merged with some buildable camp improvements granting passive bonuses and unlocking occupations. Most of the difficulty mid-game and further should lie in dangerous missions and overarching quests, not in being forced to babysit your people.

I've done it before. It's ridiculously easy if you just invest in agi because sneaking allows you to avoid almost every encounter and the ones you do get you can almost always just run away from. It's still annoying to win because it relies heavily on rng for hoping you don't just get teleported back to the start for no reason, but that more just causes a time sink than actually making you lose.

No Haven is fucking impossible though, and " game-over shit and overall being helpless" makes sense for Whorelock's Revenge but it really doesn't work for No Haven, since for a porn game all the erotic content relies on you doing well, with how the game is designed for the player to be a dominant and all, but doing well is all but impossible. Maybe if there was erotic content that came about when you weren't doing so well it'd make sense, but in No Haven losing is just a frustrating spiral Bedlam made a mistake with going for that design philosophy for No Haven. It works great for Whorelock's but in No Haven it just doesn't fit. I came experience erotica, not tedium and frustration.

I don't mean to sound harsh in case Bedlam reads this, Whorelock's Revenge is great and No Haven has potential but I think its heading in the wrong direction. Just my two cents.

Gotta agree with this, I keep going back to No Haven because the idea of it is so great but each time I'm frustrated because the game defaults to a long slow death spiral and even if you're lucky enough to get a buffer of money and supplies you've still got a one in twenty chance of getting absolutely cornholed by the RNG with every assignment you send slavers on. You can't do a goddamn thing in the game without the RNG having an opportunity to rape you right up the arse, there's no such thing as a sure thing, and if you have the absolute perfect team for the job through pure goddamn chance there's still a significant chance of you lose because lol fuck you. It's like if X-Com had to-hit chance max out at 75%, and every time someone fired there was at least a 5% chance they'd put the gun under their chin and blow their own brains out.

The game feels like I'm playing on the hardest difficulty setting, except there are no difficulty settings, this is just how the game is. The game fucks you and it's not even fun because this game is supposedly about fucking other people. Maybe that's the point, maybe this is a sub game disguised as a dom game and the fun is supposed to be losing and getting betrayed by your slavers and sold into sex slavery.

At this point Bedlam's got what I think of as a 'difficulty curve echo chamber'. The only people that can get into the game are those masochistic enough to smack their heads against the difficulty curve for hour after hour until they know the game inside and out and can min-max the shit out of things enough to actually survive, and at that point they insist that the current difficulty is just right because making the game easier would make it less fun for them as well as rob them of their imagined status for beating such a 'hardcore' game. Meanwhile an enormous silent majority are trying the game, getting the shit kicked out of them by it, and deciding they got better things to do.

I'm a big fan of XCOM but there's a difference between it and the rng in No Haven. For one, you have ways to manipulate the rng in XCOM, moving into a flanking posistion, for example. In No Haven, your only real way to manipulate the rng is to rely on traits - and the traits that your slavers have is decided by rng, so it all just boils down to "get lucky".

X-Com difficulty is about managing risk. Destroy cover. Flank. Use medkits. Take cover. Grenades are a sure thing. Short-range shotgun flanks are a sure thing. Every risk can be mitigated and though you can get fucked you can reduce the risk to the point that the amount of fucking you get is manageable. And even then you can play on easy mode.

Darkest Dungeon difficulty is about disposability. You will always have enough heroes on the cart to throw a full party into the dungeons, bring back a few trinkets, and then send their insane asses on. There's no loss state for you because the losing is all done by your flunkies. If you get attached to the dudes you have to pay a lot of gold for them to unwind and to cure their diseases and insanities, but even if an unlucky series of crits wrecks them you, the player, are only set back, not beaten - and the town upgrading over time means that even if everything goes as wrong as it could possibly go, you're still better off than when you started the game.

No Haven risk is every action is intrinsically risky. Even the most mundane assignments have a base 40% chance of failure, 5% chance of horrible failure every time. There's only so much you can do to reduce that risk and a lot of the time it relies on pure luck to have the right slavers for the job, and if you don't lol fuck you, you don't get to play this part of the game unless you like a significant risk of fucking up all the progress you've made. Sure you can min-max by customizing your slaver to excel at a single assignment and constantly grinding explore so you can always do that assignment but at that point you're basically playing cookie clicker.

Oh, and it doesn't help that the RAGS interface means it takes forever to do anything. I bashed my head against the difficulty of Defiler Wings because once you've got the hang of the interface you can click through things at a ridiculous rate - all the load times are unnoticeable and the majority of the clicking you do is in the same section of the screen. You can't play No Haven quickly - everything takes two to three times as many clicks as it would if it wasn't using RAGS and everything has one or more half-second waits for RAGS to process something, which sounds like a petty complaint but in practice it means you spend more time waiting for RAGS to load than you do actually picking things to do. And doing anything means right-clicking specific entries in lists or the portrait, clicking something in the drop-down menu, clicking something in the menu that appears in the picture window, then pressing click to continue, scattered around the entire lower half of the screen. It's a constant niggling annoyance that just adds to the frustration.

I want to love No Haven so badly and I can see a great game somewhere in there, but I can never get more than a passing glimpse of it through the goddamn ridiculous difficulty and motherfucking RAGS.

Hey, I wanted to try out your game but it's really broken in a super obvious way. Whenever you hit the back button it takes you to the last page you were on which makes it unplayable if you ever try to research new materials. Also it breaks the game super hard if you go into any menu and then hit the version history button.

I don't want to be dismissive but alpha is alpha, massive amounts of content which will affect the balance in a variety of ways seriously needs to be added, a slower optional story based intro to better ease in gameplay elements, and there is going to be a bigger and more consistent partition between the dom and sub content depend on how you choose to start the game.

I'll take any questions as long as nobody thinks I'm ruining the thread!

Basically I made the game with a client-server system. I did this because I wanted to make it impossible to cheat/hack/edit the game/your account. I also wanted to add a global trade market to the game and several other features that interacted with other players in the background.

In my previous thread it became pretty clear that the majority wanted to edit their saves and mess with the game since it's part of the fun. Also server-side development would increase development time and make things like lag, server speed and code optimization a big issue or at the very least a factor.

I am writing the engine myself, a lot of hours have gone into it already. I finally reached a point where I can comfortably write content for the game without having to change the engine. Basically the multiplayer components were a "cool" idea I had, but I thought of another way to do it without all the issues of a server-component.

Options are either to drag down the image window as much as possible when you're selecting people to get more space and then resize it when you're done, or use the 'make unavailable for selection' option to free up menu space and then put them back when you've done the selection.

So I picked up Pretty Soldier Wars AD 2048 after reading about it.

The game's pretty shitty, but I like the premise.

Er, got a little scatterbrained there. The creatures in this game are kind of like chrysalids in that they capture and rape females to produce the bigger, badder monsters while the males are put in cocoons to be converted into weaker drones.

Each mission has a couple of big monsters that are in the process of making babies. While you get a neat sex scene for each one you encounter, it's very short and there's no consequence to it. The girl essentially doesn't exist and the monster can't "get away" with her to finish the job.

Chrysalid mechanics would be pretty neat.

Maybe something more classic? Apocalypse's skeletoid, if turned into sexier girl would just work wonders at fellatio. I am working in chapters/iterations so I have realistic goals and not an infinite amount of unfinished content. It pretty much goes like this for each iteration: Storyline -> Character Development -> Extra. I work like this so I can work on a good story first, then replayability; The excitement of different companions in different survival situations, etc.

Example : I wrote the story for the first chapter and then created a town with the areas, buildings and npcs I would need to execute the script. Afterwards I wrote a few extra options to link quest npc's through the story. Then I added a random battle and scenes where you interact with your companion. The extra part is basically stuff that helps you raise stats and opens up more options for character development in the future, such as finding items like the ones you described. One part of a side quest opens up new housing options for example, that would be something extra.

If anyone's wondering traits that help you make it back unharmed currently are Malevolence, Strong, Cowardly, Agile, Magic (Biomancy additionally so), Fleet, Elementalist, Resilient, Psionic, Were, Flying to a greater or lesser extent and Ethereal is outright immune.

Traits that hinder to a greater or lesser extent are Weak, Clumsy, Aggressive, Cowardly, Bimbo, Thug and Exceptional Beauty/Femininity.

I actually hope that some traits, characters events will be really prized and hard to get - stuff that can be acquired as traits for player's character, slaves and slavers but only as per some unique quest chains and as one of the potential rewards from among which player has to choose.

Like it was mentioned above, I want those things to matter, possibly even affecting other events, gameplay choices, endgames or even dialogues with different character. I want whole quest-chains where next quest and its rewards are directly influenced not only by results but also choices in the earlier one.

Overarching plot and end-game goals less dependant on luck but more about preparation and proper choices.

For example, there's a quest about some wizard academy research party beign spotted going somewhere. You can send people to meet up with them and then decide whether you want to raid and enslave students from it or possibly trade/buy their services. Then there could be other quests, available depending on what was the outcome:

Critical success raid: powerful obscure artifact and valuable magical materials, one of several unique slaves + a few "merely" quality/rare ones. New quest about researching acquired artifact and then depending on results of that one - using it for some particular goal.

Succesful raid: Chance for one or two quality slaves, some valuables, increased infamy.

Failure of raid: Attack repelled, a random raid participant risking suffering some negative effects (curses etc) which if applied - can be taken out only by another quest the same slaver would have to embark on.

Critical fialure: Danger of loss of some of the slavers (depending on their traits, rank), all slavers taking part in the ride make a throw for whether they get cursed - and so does main character at the camp. If anyone gets cursed, quest as above becomes available.

I only know one way to get an Etheral Slaver and that's from Criting the Follow the Dancing Lights quest, which is rare itself.

A thing which is deffo possible is Quest Lines [cause there's already at least one]
You do a quest and on Success or Crit, you get a result that gives you another quest.
IIRC the Cave exploring mission on the Coast gives you a mission to raid a Lamia nest if you Crit it.
But you can lose guys if you Crit that mission, and the Lamia mission itself is really dangerous too : D

More Missions where you do one part for a small risk small reward, followed up by another mission for high risk high reward would be pretty cool.

For example with your Wizard Academy Research party mission, lets say you Crit that. Results in a Wizard Slaver and a new quest to raid the actual Wizard Academy [possibly with something where you HAVE TO take the new slaver, cause he knows the magic words.] Shit would be mad dangerous, because obviously, and can result in lots of things.
Because you know Dank Wizards in their Wizard tower are gonna have some rare as fuck slaves, like Fallen Angels and Succubi, or other demonic classes.

Crimson King is a weird character from one of the weirdest manga/anime out there. His special power is time skipping, typically not seen by the viewer, he just kinda disappears and then people suddenly are in all sorts of weird positions or similar, which always leads to some variation of "what the fuck just happened? I saw a few games taht were working pretty well with real people pictures. Definitely going to be a thing. Outside of the one in game already there's hints for the one upcoming to be able to unlock greater biomancy powers, there's one planned which will be very multi stage involving dragons and definitely more beside.

Here's something. According to Google, the average height of women around the world is about 5'5

So in FC, when a slave is described as being average height, they could be between 5'3 and 5'7

Up till now I've been assuming average height in FC was around the 5'9 mark.
