I think a lot of it was already said last thread. But first, some of the pacing is rushed. There need to be small acknowledgements of very real things in the show - things like how far they are from Earth (so far, only Lance seems to care). Other things, like Pidge not reacting to a guy dying, no one caring that Shiro threw Sendak into space. Like I said in the last thread, it's not that I want the show to become completely naval-gazing, but small moments of humanity would help. The logic of "well they are trained by the Galaxy Garrsion" is true, but it doesn't hold up, really. Training for something and being in the actual shit are two totally different things, and a kid who is now thrown into war will have moments where they reflect on their actions.
So far, they've given Shiro some of this with his PTSD and past, but it seem like they've largely skimped out on that sort of development for the other characters.
Also, as said in the last thread, the Balmera arc should have been shortened and it should have had a downer ending. Not only would it show the destructive nature of the Galra, and how somethings just can't be repaired, it could have allowed for interesting interactions with the people, finding refugees a new home. Plus it wouldn't have had that happy Disney deus ex machina garbage end.

And some of the tonal whiplash gets annoying. It hasn't evened out and found out whens the time and place yet. In short, a touch more seriousness I guess is what I want. I mean, it's still a kids show, it's still supposed to be fun, but you can do that, and have nice character moments and reflection too. Like in the original ATLA.
Oh, and I want some more info on the Galra as a whole. It was kinda hard to do in the episodes we have so far, so we got pretty bare bones stuff about them. I want their culture and side of the story explored more in the future.

Episode 6 felt unnecessary. Most of the stuff in it was stuff we already knew (Hunk isn't actually stupid, Hunk's good at science, the Galra are bad dudes, Lance thinks with his dick) and the other new info (small resistance efforts, the Soldier-Druid rivalry, Altean altruism) could've been easily been packed into other episodes, freeing it up for something more interesting.
