are you implying this is a surprise? we literally knew about this last year.
I'm still amazed that the original movie made enough money to warrant a sequel. Everyone seemed to hate it. I guess that's what happens when you have inoffensive kids' entertainment, though.
My lasting memory of the first one is Liam Neeson's voice, he still being in his "I need as much work as possible to distract from the loneliness I feel now that my wife has died" phase.
The fuck? I never heard of this or the first film. Saw the thumbnail and thought the squirrel from Over the Hedge had gotten his own spinoff or some shit.
Well. Whatever, I guess. From what I looked up, it made 3 times its budget. May as well make a sequel to see if they can make lightning strike twice.

OPPA GANGNAM STYLE
>>84483534
It's not so much a case of lightning as static shock
The budget was ridiculously low in the first place
Is this straight to DVD, the first one should've been.
>>84483387
If they don't use PSY for the credits again, I'm eating my shoes.
>>84483631
Surprisingly not, from what I've seen.

How the fuck is he holding the camera like that, goddammit
Why?
I'm not even mad. I just legitimately don't know why?

He's covered wars
I really liked the first one, watched it early this year maybe in February, even made a random thread for it. I needed something to watch because I was bored, it was a good pick. The reference to Pcsy or whatever was irritating but the rest of it was acceptable. The 'feelsy' ending got to me too.

Because 1 made money
I want those squirrels to give me a nutjob if you know what I mean
They're probably going to use this song

I'm still shocked this was popular enough to get a sequel. It was pretty awful.

Then again, Alpha & Omega got dozens of sequels

Realistically. they'll use this one

Napal Baji for Nut Job 2.
The first one was alright.

Depends entirely on your expectations. They sunk 40-ish million into it, which is way less than most big Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks films get.
They also weren't expecting to make back 6, 7, or 8 times their budget the same way Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks films do.
They tripled their investment. While the above studios might have considered such a return a flop, for everyone else who isn't the biggest name in animation- in fact, their first and only foray into animated films at the time- this is a respectable return.

Are all these funny animal movies just kinda blurring together to anyone else now? I can't even tell them apart anymore.
>>84489410
John Cleese is in every movie like this.
>>84490088
there's definitely an overdose this year
>>84490088
Nah, I think you have brain problems.
>>84483387
No predators at all? Did they pull a Redwall and send them all to the death camps?
I suppose there's a dog, but still.
>>84485595
I wasn't really expecting much, you could tell the CGI wasn't up to Disney standards but it was actually fun, something to switch your brain off and just laugh along with.
I'm hoping the sequel has even more of Brendan Fraser's hero squirrel.
>>84489405
PSY has always been famous in Korea - Gangnam Style only gave him a temporary worlwide fame. I'm pretty sure he's still rather big in his homeland and content with it.
>>84483387
I literally only watched the first one because Sarah Gadon was a voice in it. Sadly she only had like 5 lines.

Is their roller coaster cart suspended in the air? It's not lined up with the tracks at all.

How many predators are usually in city parks?
Are they doing another heist movie with the second one? I think it could turn out good enough if they do.
