No, it was a defective clone. But they were all lovable defective clones. In my opinion it sort of marked the beginning of the end of JL 3000, the book suffered from the writer introducing new ideas only to ditch them 3 issues later for another idea he came up with on the spur. But killing funny characters that were in the comic since issue 1 went too far and the series never managed to recover its comedic tone.
