What costume for you made the best transition from comic to screen so far?
For me it's Ant-Man. No it's not 1:1 an Ant-Man costume from the comics, but it does a really good job of actually looking like a functional piece of tech while still being recognizably Ant-Man.
Same, also Spawn, Deadpool, BP, and Iron-man of course
as far as 1:1 translations go, this has to be it for me.
>>84454146
I miss the metal abs.
>>84453996
obviously
>>84454104
This. Sad to see the pauldrons go but the suit here was fantastic
>>84453996
It's such a cool costume. It's toku as fuck.
Shit movie, but goddamn GR looked good.
>>84454146
>BP
Oh FUCK me. BP looks so fucking good, you don't even know.
>that African pattern embroidery on the suit
HHNNNGGG
What I love about it is that it's probably the first time we ever had anything truly Afrofuturistic in a mainstream movie.
>>84454738
Iron Man and War Machine both look great too.
>>84454738
>that African pattern embroidery on the suit
I love that. It's something you can't do in a monthly comic because of how long it'd take to draw that detail.
>>84454146
>Deadpool
He would've been perfect if they didn't edit out his iris and pupils whenever he wears the mask and didn't put him in obnoxiously tight pants.
>>84454801
I'm glad the other anon said something. My mind just went blank for some reason for this thread, probably because I'm an idiot. But it's so FUCKING good.
>>84454738
>>84454896
Only problem I had with his costume in the movie was the fact that his eyes blink.
>>84453996
>Iron Man
>War Machine suit from Iron Man 2
>Black Panther
>>84455000
>his eyes blink.
I've seen the movie like six times. When did they blink? It's a helmet with individual visors. How can it?
>>84454629
>taking away his chains and spikes
come on, man
>>84453996
1. Deadpool
2. BvS Batman
3. Black Panther
4. Ant-Man
5. Yellowjacket. Not exactly accurate but it looked awesome as hell.
>>84455535
10/10
It's a tossup between MCU Spidey for the eye shutters and the classic spider logo, or Amazing and its sleek design.
>>84453996
Every spider-man suit except Amazing Spider-Man 1
>>84453996
Ant-Man's movie costume, for me personally, was probably the best transition. I always thought Ant-Man's costume from the comics was unbelievably stupid looking, even by comic standards, so when I heard they were making a movie adaptation of it, I wasn't too thrilled. Then I saw promo shots of the costume and was sold. It's probably my favorite movie costume next to Captain America and Deadpool.
>>84455535
>they wasted this cool as fuck shot for some reason
Dammit SNyder.
>>84455720
Yeah ASM2 reminds me of McFarlane Spiderman
But this one was cool too because he could squint his eyes.
>>84453996
>Dredd
>Cap's WS suit
>Cap's AoU suit
>Batman's BvS suit
>Black Panther
>Deadpool
>Daredevil's S1 and his later S2 suit
>S2 DocOck if you count it as a costume
>Amazing Spider-Man 2
>Civil War Spidey (mostly for the mask)>Ronan
So utterly fucking phenomenal.
I don't read Thor at all, but isn't his movie costume pretty much exactly the same as his comic one?
>>84455970
>wasted
it was in the movie
>>84458587
I'm so sorry that you're blind. I hope that you regain your eyesight soon.
Red Skull was pretty 1:1
>>84458951
>:,)
>>84458709
No helmet
>>84454338
It wasn't that bad, maybe if it was slightly more tactical/kevlar looking.
>>84458709
As a fan of the Thor movies and his Silver Age look, "pretty much exactly" is quite generous.
I like the movie costumes but they're all a pretty wild departure from how Thor looked for most of his comics existence.
>>84459101
Why are the movies so bleh?
What would it take to make a good thor movie? Can it even be done?
I honestly feel they only revealed Whor to be who she is to tie into the fucking movies, Jane Foster hadn't been relevant in years. And its only a matter of time before the rest ties in.
>>84453996
does anyone else like the civil war suit more? I love the first suit but I just like this updated and clean look a little bit more
>>84459189
>does anyone else like the civil war suit more?
I've yet to hear of anyone who didn't. I mean sure, I've heard of some who like his solo movie's suit more, but not that his CW suit was bad.
>>84459189
I didn't even notice that they changed it, but yes, as much as I liked the original costume, that's really nice.
>>84459189
The helmet looks a bit odd from the side though, and I don't understand why they redesigned it at all. But it isn't bad by any standard. I just prefer the first movie suit.
>>84458709
I don't recall Thor ever wearing shitty plastic Party City and windbreaker pants in the comics.
>>84454896
You could even interpret the patterns on the eyes as actual cat pupils (where they look like slits)
>>84459189
My dream costume would be a more clean look this got but on the First Movies costume.
Or just do the Yellow Jacket Suit and make it more ANTS like, that would be great
>>84458951
>Incredible detail & texture.
>Looks unique & alien.
>Isn't campy bright or silly.
My eye sight is perfectly fine bitch.
>>84459371
>isn't bright
>silly
You are the problem
>>84459101
You fucking dumbass.
It's a adaption of this outfit.
Which was a billion light years better then that old campy silly dreck.
>>84459270
>I don't understand why they redesigned it at all.
Not that anon but I actually thought about this too.
I'm pretty sure they redesigned it so it would look good when he both shrinks and enlarges. Both suits are still good but seeing CW Ant-Man enlarge seems to look better rather than his original one (with all the dangling wires hanging out). It looks like a tighter fit too whereas the original one's material looked more like clothes.
But that's just how I see it.
>>84459384
Stay mad you camp fag.
You got you 5 silly shit movies, now it's our turn you narcissist mother fucker.
>>84459392
>>84459316
The nose resembles a cat's nose as well, I just noticed.
>>84458587
MAN OF MICHELIN TIRES
>>84459392
>>84459428
Not muh.
>>84458951
I like classic Supes more than anyone, but you have shit taste if you don't think Hopeman is goat costume.
>>84459428
Either go classic or go Ribbic.
>>84453996
That's the shittiest costume ever
ironman is the correct answer
I was pretty surprised how cool David Hasselhoff looked as Nick Fury.
>Iron Man
>Ant-Man
>BvS Batman
>Deadpool
>Commander Rogers uniform from TWS
>Black Panther
>Winter Soldier
>>84458587
I forgot just how dark that suit was
>>84455970
Because that's what Snyder does.
He thinks about shots first, and then he writes the movie around them, problem is he's a terrible writer.
>>84458587
>got rid of the red underwear because Snyder thought it looked childish
Fucking retard.
>>84460747
it's not actually that dark on set. it's just snyder
>>84455535
>entire costume made of grey papier mache
Dumb.
>>84459418
Yeah, now it's your turn to have a movie as serious and dark as your soul.
Go listen to some Linkin Park, faggot.
>>84461025
Because it factually is obscenely childish, garish and ruins any intensity the film may have.
>>84461158
Except the film has plenty of hope and lightness.
It's not a bordering on parody joke.
>>84461298
The entire concept of Superman is fucking childish, he shoots lasers with his fucking eyes, for fucks sake.
He's a power fantasy for kids, and that's all Superman will ever be.
>>84461315
>It's not a bordering on parody joke.
Actually it is.
MoS is exactly a Superman movie should not be, it's fascinating.
>>84459774
Piss off the scales are fucking awesome.
>>84454338
>no chinstrap
into the trash it goes
>>84453996
Ant-Man, Black Panther, and Iron Man have been the best by far.
>>84461319
No its not inherently childish.
It's just sci-fi.
That's like saying 2001 is childish because we haven't invented Artifical Intelligence yet.
>>84461341
Except it's a perfectly valid take in every way.
It not pandering to your bitch ass doesn't make it less valid.
>>84461386
>It not pandering to your bitch ass doesn't make it less valid.
No, it's pandering to edgy teenagers.
It's a childish movie, but in other sense.
>>84461386
>No its not inherently childish.
He's a power fantasy for kids to look up to.
Superheroes in general are childish, and no attempt at making them serious has ever worked, and no, TDK didn't, it was a good movie, yes, but Batman in those is fucking terrible.
>>84454104
Loved this.
>>84461396
Except it's not edgy or immature in anyway. It doesn't glorify for go EXTREME with violence.
It treats the battles as a realistic catastrophe.
Ultimatum or Nemesis is edgy and teen oriented, this is not even remotely that.
>>84461412
No its not terrible in anyway shape or form.
Not doing enough detective stuff with him was a missed opportunity not a flaw.
>>84458587
Again, he doesn't need red undies, he just needs SOMETHING to break up the blue bodysuit. A red belt would be perfect.
>>84461455
>NO, IT'S NOT, DELETE THIS
Jesus christ.
>>84461458
The unique patterning does that just fine.
It doesn't need a bright red line thru the middle of it.
>>84461455
>It treats the battles as a realistic catastrophe
Superman went on to make out with his girlfriend on top of the ashes of 5000 people.
It was fucking hilarious.
>>84455535
One of the best things about the movie. God, I loved batman in this movie. And yes, even the killing.
>>84461469
Give him a belt or something.
It looks like he's in a rubber gimp onesie, it's too basic for its own good.
>>84461412
>Batman in those is fucking terrible.
That's not a problem of Batman as a character. That's Nolan's problem. I guarantee you if Year One Batman was the protagonist instead of Nolan's borderline parody interpretation of the character, the movies would improve.
>>84461534
Nolan's version and Miller's version are the antitheses of each other. NolanBats does it out of obligation, he's not the obsessive "MY CITY" lunatic version of the Frank Miller universe.
>the movies would improve
They would literally have to be entirely different movies, and probably from a different director because Nolan doesn't write characters like Miller does.
>>84461486
Not funny in anyway. They were desperate for comfort and stability after almost being torn apart atom by atom in a black hole seconds before.
>>84461534
>Nolan's borderline parody interpretation of the character
I can't even imagine how insane someone has to be to think this.
Their is NOTHING fucking bad about Bale's Batman besides the voice.
>>84453996
OP is right
>>84458891
Never read any hellboy, but this dude was fucking amazing, there was some serious presence to him.
