YO! Have you guys seen this yet? Pretty funny stuff. I mean, it's hit or miss, about 6-10 sketches/songs were good, but damn were they good. What are your thoughts?

Does it carry the same tone or whatever the correct word is that his online stuff did? It seems a real shame that China Il just came off as a watered down and not as fun version of his online work.

I didn't like it, the scenes are too short to build proper humor and just seem random in a bad way, China IL was better.

Best stuff from the first episode was Swamp Hag, Geology, and the siren hats. Doo Doo Man got a chuckle out of me.

I don't think Brad Neely's style lends itself to a sketch show.
He hit gold with professor brothers and China, Il. was actually pretty solid since it had characters to work with and frame his nonsense. With it totally unrestrained by plot, pacing, or characters it becomes Brad Neely just jizzing youtube all over my screen.
Rick and Morty did improv/sketch episodes but they had the decency to make them share space with a B plot

Like look at his shorts, those are fantastic, if he took a one or two of his 2-3 minute sketches then mixed in the shorter sketches it might work better. And a better framing device or transitions are needed too. The whole soft fades kind of lack impact.

I honestly don't know. The sketches were so fast and abrupt, theres barely enough time to register and decide if it was funny or not.

I've always imagined Brad to be the kind of guy who cycles through lots of ideas and sorts through the shit ones.
These are all the ideas. A lot of shit ones in there. Also I'm getting the impression that once you've seen one episode you've seen them all. Oh well, maybe it'll get better or people will like it more or something crazy will happen.

China, IL was good. This, not so much. It's like they did a bunch of sketches but forgot the punchlines. Do you have to be familiar with Neely's comics or whatever to understand what's going on?
I really want porn of the Swamp Hag and that's all I really have to say about this show one episode in. I'll give it a couple more chances, but I'm disappointed on the whole.
