Miles' problem that got stated with the crossovers is that his comic is too reactionary: problems just come to him with him and his crew responding to them. Miles never moves the ball like he did early on. Even the villains don't go at him for anything HE has done to them. Even recently, the Blackcat started something but lost the heart midway to take out Miles and just offered him Silk's deal to work together.
To get better Miles needs to make more moves and take more risks. They were never dating. Jane kissed him once because she was high on post-battle adrenaline. Sam went "uh, not that I'm complaining, but what the fuck?", later found out Thor was Jane and dieing of cancer, and went to her to tell her that she has issues and is clearly just using being Thor as a way to commit suicide.
It was actually one of the few good moments in the book that involved the adults, since most of their scenes are hot garbage.

This is why I had to drop Spider-Gwen. She has her own universe to adventure in and it's a cool universe.
Just look at Spider-Girl, she lasted well over a hundred issues and was a mostly self contained thing. These days, a book is lucky if it makes it to 12 issues before cancellation or a new number 1.

Aside from Spider-Women and that one scene in issue 3 of the current run she was pretty self contained actually and had shit in her own verse to deal with. It's actually pretty unrealistic that she finds time to hang with the Web Warriors (which might very well be a different Spider-Gwen in that comic) seeing what a depressive wreck she is in her own comic.
