Except I prefer some realistic plausibility. The appeal of Batman, at least in comparison most of the other DC heroes, is that he's relatable in that he has no powers and has to rely on equipment an his wits to get the job done. Having him walk around in tights instead of some manner of body armor looks terribly silly. The Bale suit's could've done a better job, but at least they tried to come off as practically plausible in combat situations.

Like I said, its a durable fiber. It fills the armor role and stays faithful to the comics. There's no other way of making it "realistic" and faithful. Bale's suit tried the more realistic approach and turned it into a militaristic hot mess.

Really, the only thing I would change about Batfleck;s suit would make the ears slightly longer, use a different bat symbol, and either add some underwear or make the belt gold (preferably both). It's definitely the closest we've come to a faithful batsuit in the movies.
