Well the subjuggulators and higher ranking blue bloods in military positions likely played a big part. Even if many of the lower bloods have strong psychic abilities they're going up against stupidly physically strong trolls with greater organisation and training. The Summoner likely screwed himself over trying to keep his public appearances going and that allowed him to be captured, had he just gone full guerrilla rebels mode then he'd have likely survived much longer whilst causing more damage to the empire. That being said it's hard to make a meaningful point with tactics like that, outside of just "fuck you, we don't like you or your way of doing things".

Pretty much; even among her peers in the Alpha kids she stood out, given she didn't perpetuate drama like the other 3 did for much of their screen time. Though to be fair that's quite an oversimplification, given there's enjoyable parts to Dirk and sometimes Jane and Jake. Roxy also benefits from a much increased meaningful screen time than many other characters, given her involvement in the retcon quest. Also a lot of the characters we got after said quest ended didn't seem like their previous iterations, whilst Roxy stayed notably consistent. Lastly, she was commonly around John, who isn't exactly the most interesting character at the best of times, which helped to enhance her with the supposed "Aqua" effect you described.

I guess? There's a lot of reasons to like Roxy outside of just everyone else just being shit. The most important one being she's rather funny and has a distinct way of speaking which helps reinforce that, just like Dave. Her getting over her alcohol issues is the big issues a lot of people have with her, which is understandable. Hussie introduced two main characters with issues relating to alcohol abuse and yet he doesn't seem to know how or what to write to show/develop it in a meaningful manner, it's pretty fucking weird when you think about it.
