It was though. Game Over is still a highlight of the comic, with sweet music, action, plot progression and even character arcs coming to beautiful climax, all set to the most creative use of hyperfiction in the comic by far.
There were so many places the comic could have gone after Game Over and still reached Act 7, but Hussie chose the worst possible way.

In retrospect, it's the fucking worst that GO Dirk got erased in a pixellated bukkake. He would have been the only one to make it to the end of the retcon and consistently acknowledge everyone post retcon aren't the people he grew close to over the years, and he'd give Roxy someone to reminisce and vent with instead of some goofy asshole kid that showed up and "fixed" everything. It might have lessened the awkwardness of meeting Dave as well since it'd have been "expedited" without Vriska intervention. We might have gotten Dirk breaking own on Dave properly instead of just "oh. uh. oh no. uhh. sorry. uh. uuh."

some general advice in conclusion. If a sentence has three or more commas evenly spaced from each other, you're probably better off splitting it up. When you do so, an easy rule of thumb is you want to alternate between short sentences and longer sentences, have each sentence longer than the previous, or have each sentence shorter than the previous, depending on if you want a sense of rhythm, to create a sense of 'getting lost in the moment' or to create a sense of increasingly acute focus.
Unless you want to emphasize that your character is disconnected or otherwise getting 'left behind' by the action, you want to second guess every was and every -ing. most of the time you're better served by an -ed.
the senses, taste, touch, scent, and sound are all just as useful for adding detail as sight is.
if a character is feeling an emotion, try to include a physical symptom of that emotion to show that they are feeling it, so you're not just telling that they are feeling it. The more intense the emotion, the more physical symptoms you wanna describe to emphasize it.

Problem was not the ending, but everything that leads to it
- Given how roxys powers are batshit OP the alpha kids could bring back any character without any penalty, making the juju sacrifice a waste of time
- John could actually bring back any dead character with retcon powers and he looks a dick for not doing so
- John revives Vriska and thanks her for everything after saying he hated her and thought she was a dangerous psycho hours ago from his perspective
- There are two caliborns, two aradias and maybe three alive solluxs by the end of the comic
- If ghosts can use their powers on dreambubbles they could be fucking with the narrative with no penalties
- Only three kids at all did their planet quests
- The author's insert only left Slick alive for years to die for someone else's arc
- Dave and Bro's problems being recognized makes everything about characters behaving like in a videogame the biggest blueballing of my short lifespan
- Important characters like Jack and WV are only left for the sake of existing
- Act 6 could easily have 1/2 of its lenght and most readers gave up by trickster act

Mom, Dad and Grandpa went to the lab, but Bro might have been elsewhere), presumably didn't freak out about being in the medium or on various planets or meeting Davesprite, and helped to fight Jack as best he could. He could have fucked off on his rocket board and left everyone to deal with it, but he chose to stay and participate in the initial quasi-eight-player kid & guardian session, so there's some care involved. If the beta session guardians were looked back on at all during A6, we might have got development on how they knew this stuff, seeing as Jade and Jake swapped letters and presents, and someone sent Liv Tyler and a bunch of weapons to the rescue. I would have liked to see each Alpha kid helping their pre-scratch self in their session, it would explain a lot and offer development to both sets of characters.

Only something which is very fun, extremely flexible, and serving to accelerate my abilities, my understanding of what a story can be, and my grasp on how people react to things. That is actually a valuable part of the exercise, watching mass reactions in real time, on every aspect of each update. From the minutia, to the big plot turns. There is a very real component of this that resembles a huge social experiment. I'm not just putting pressure on the limits of a story's format. Bringing back Tavros would have been ideal.
He spent his afterlife being bossed around by Vriska yet managed to bring thousands of ghosts together. A few years on the meteor, with people who enjoy his company and no Vriska, would have without a doubt made him into the perfect friendleader the meteor crew desperately needed to get out of their sad passivity.
It also makes sense as part of Terezi's arc. Tavros's death was a great and real injustice. By righting this wrong, she could, all at the same time, fix what Vriska broke, acknowledge her awfulness, move on, start (re)building friendships that don't involve Vriska, and most important of all, restore the JUST1C3 part of her identity.
I am convinced that, in some alternate universe where Andrew cared about writing a good story more than anything, this is exactly what happened.
