It's almost too perfect of a metaphor. Hughes' "AH!" is of course his initials but the sound can be used to express feelings of exclamation or intense emotion: surprise, amazement or (because his art is oftentimes lewd) arousal.
Henderson signs her work with "EH!" which can describe her initials, but is also used to express apathy, indifference or boredom.

I'm looking for sources and I'm having trouble verifying that. Grace Ellis' Twitter only credits herself as "co-creator" and the Wikipedia page and other segments about the making of the series credit Shannon Watters as the other co-creator and a Brooke A Allen as the character designer, respectively.
Though I did find that some later publications of issues and the trade paperbacks evidently put Noelle's name first, and that some fans seem to give most of the credit to Noelle, so is that what you meant?

It's like they saw how self aware and fun SG used to be and then tried to made that Ironic Mary sue into an actual character.
