Now that some time has passed since the Out of the Shadows movie came out. What did you think about it? I think it's somewhat of a shame that the movie did as badly as it did since I think they were starting to go in a better direction.
But let's not only discuss the movie. Bebop and Rocksteady destroys everything recently ended so feel free to talk about that and the rest of the IDW comic. Do you have a favorite character? A favorite artist? Share here and tell us what characters you are hoping to see down the line.
I really like the art of Santoulouco and Bates. But the new Wachter guy is pretty okey so far.
Is there a rundown anywhere of all the different mutants that popued up in that R&B mini? I know Wyrm, and Wingnut and Screwloose. By the way I liked Platinum's design of Wingnut more. The IDW comic is still the best iteration out of everything that's out. I just wish the new G.I. Joe book had caught on like TMNT and Transformers has.
I haven't seen the movie yet. I'll probably wait until it hits the web.
I'm still digging the cartoon and am eagerly anticipating what they do with Usagi.

I honestly really liked the Out of the Shadows movie. It was dumb fun and seemed to fix so many issues I had that kept me from watching the first one, from the Foot being actual Ninjas to Oroku Saki being a damn character to the turtles being a lot more charming. Even Megan Fox's April was okay.
And of course, Bebop and Rocksteady were entirely perfect.

And having him be a cop for no reason. Also, Krang and Shredder didn't really have enough screentime. Maybe they should have taken out Casey and inserted more of them. It was nice however that we got Baxter, Casey, Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang in one movie. Though it could have been handled better.

Would love to have seen this Shredder fight the turtles, but I guess it might have been difficult to do without the stupid power armor since, while slimmed down from the first movie, they're still built like brick shit houses.

Go with the TMNT: IDW Collection hardcovers. It puts all the minis and oneshots in chronological sequence with the ongoing issues. Otherwise you'll have to switch back and forth between trades to read a coherent story (and the minis and oneshots aren't skippable, especially during City Fall).

Thankful that IDW had the guts to introduce actual female mutants that are original characters and not just slapping a mutation on an established character. TMNT has always shied away from any female character that isn't April (Venus doesn't count) and I'm glad that's being rectified.

Karai is actually the only one I think is interesting, and I think she's one of the best iterations Karai's had. Alopex, Koya, that lion mutant, Nobody, they're all dull and inoffensive. Characters like Renet and that demon CEO are a little different but they're also flat characters without much going on.

I have only seen Pride in a storytime a ways back before I got into the series proper, so I can't speak about her other than to say that with that haircup and name I will pretend to be surprised when she's shown to have the gays.
I like Alopex for her complexity and her fierceness and Koya for her ruthlessness and I love both of their designs, but that's me.

I think it always seems worse in the 2012 cartoon because that one makes April so damn plot important and 'special' ti makes her seem like she's hogging a spotlight.
was kinda weird seeing that episode where Karai beats the crap out of April out of order after knowing a lot of later turns with her. the episode itslef felt liek a 'power check' moment almost, like trying to establish April isn't actually that strong even against real warriors, but then I just remember the immune to mutation magic blood mind power shit and just think ''welp that effort was wasted.'

I was kinda disappointed by the fact that Slash looked more like a snapping turtle, not terribly so but initially he looked more like one of the brothers. I liked the idea of Dark Leo being a separate character with it being more stealthy as opposed to Slash's Hulk like character.

They had transformers devastation which had 5 characters fighting on screen at once, just let other players control them and subtract one character and you got a great tmnt game. but instead they dumbed down the combo system to be as bare bones as possible gave us dumb ninjtsu and for single player gave items priority over switching turtles.
I wanted out of the shadows systems with IDW art style and trasformers devastation gameplay, what I got was a mediocre 3d beat em up albeit with a unique traversal system

Never. The live action wouldn't go for Karai, as she only can thrive in a setting where either you have a lot of time to focus on tertiary characters, or Shredder is gone. Live action adaptations and films, when they get to that point, inevitably fall into sequel hell where things get really shitty.
