In highschool,. Sophomore year to be precise and is 16 (was 15 in CW). Since the MCU progresses in real time, each of his appearances will be in a separate year.

CW: Freshman
Homecoming: Sophomore
Avengers 3: Junior
Avengers 4: Senior
Spidey 2: College

I don't get how a newbie spidey is gonna mess with Thanos.

It's not even a powerlevel thing, it just feels weird to have him there at all.
>>
>>84191288

>>
>>84187683
You're crazy. Sure, it looks flat-ish in this one, but man, would I want to press my face against that. I've never been this excited about Spidey, since I was 10yo, I knew that I wanted my Spidey as twink as possible and it's finally happening 14 years later. I'm having such a big crush on him right now. I love how he doesn't have that Hollywood picture-perfect look, but instead he looks like a normal teen boy.
>>
>>84187683
The thicker lines on his arms look good to me. Makes him look articulated like a spider, and don't detract from the shape (it actually defines it a bit better)

The ones on his pants look weird, though. The one across his ass makes it look a lot flatter than what it already is.

Still, these are just gonna be the talking scenes, he's gonna look better in the battles. The only reason CW looked worse than average is because they spread their budget thin. Same thing happened in Ultron. Ant-Man looked great, and so did Iron Man 3, because they had dedicated budgets just for 1 kind of CGI.
>>

>>
>>84191630

And a good number of the MCU heroes (like Hawkeye) really don't have a problem with killing people when necessary. Whilst Spidey's more likely to pull his punches. If Thanos comes with say another Chitauri force, Peter's probably more likely to use methods that involve immobilizing or incapacitating. It'd probably have to take a near certain no other choice scenario of someone like May or maybe even Tony in immediate danger of death for him to go maximum-Spider and not hold back.

why do Americans bother with this nonsense?
Just say the number of the grade. 9, 10, 11, 12. Clear and logical.

And then sometimes those terms are applied to years in college to make things even more confusing.
"oh I'm a sophomore" In what mother fucker? Just say numbers.

Really, literally, truly, what is the point?
Is it supposed to add some sort of cache?
A poetic term for parents to wistfully engage in nostalgic moments. "He's a senior now. I remember my senior year..."
Seems like an obnoxious upper-crust nomenclature that give the masses some vague sense of accomplishment.
A linguistic participation ribbon.

He's 16 years old. If he's in highschool at 16, he's either a Sophomore or a Junior.

>Actually thinking they'll take two years to release the next Spider-Man movie.

Yeah, it will. The remainder of phase three has both Avengers movies, Thor 3, Black Panther, Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel coming out after Homecoming. Homecoming comes out in 2017. Phase 3 ends in 2019. So yeah, 2 years or more (since we don't know what they have planned for phase four) between.
>>
>>84191921
Why do tumblroids need to pretend this doesn't make sense? The first required year of schooling is like an introductory year. Its like making fun of a book not labeling the prologue as chapter 1 just because another book did.

Other than that one year, the numbering is then just 1-12, just like how the Uk is 1-13.
>>
>>84191854
>Just say the number of the grade. 9, 10, 11, 12. Clear and logical.

In some cases, we do. But in kinda informal scenarios I guess.

Truth be told, I have no fucking clue. And I don't think I know anyone who does. It's just what's always been and it's never been significant enough to question. Nobody here really gives a shit to ask why or change it.

>>84191854
saying you're a 9th grader or 12th grader sounds childish, we're used to hearing " -- grader" by children. for 8 whole years, so to continue that trend at 14-18 years of age is odd

>>
>>84192036
>They'll release another one in 2019 in the latest.

You mean earliest, whcih I very much doubt. Phase 3 ends with Avengers 4. It's set in stone at this piont. They may start filming Spidey 2 before Phase 3 is done, but I don't think it'll be out by then. These movies come out in the summer. If they're filming for it near around when Avengers 4 is being promoted/premieres, it'll probably be what kickes off phase 4 in the summer of 2020.
>>
>>84191748
You picked a bad example there. Comic wise, Hawkeye is one of the most reluctant to kill mature heroes. Unless it's a Bendis-like OOC case, or a very, very, very desperate case. It's not like he hasn't, but he's unlikely to.
>>
>>84192108
>so to continue that trend at 14-18 years of age is odd
not really.
You've got 12 sequential grades. To switch over to a word based ranking for the last third of that time makes less sense.
>we're used to hearing " -- grader" by children
Its just what you are accustomed to. There's no logic behind it.

Elementary, Middle and High schools aren't even the same grades within the same district or city sometimes.
They can be any of the following.
K-6, 7-9, 10-12
K-8, 9-12 with no middle school whatsoever.
K-7, 8-12 with no middle school whatsoever.
K-3 primary school, 4-6 elementary, 7-9, 10-12
And I am sure there are other combination out there I haven't seen.

But this isn't comics though. Hawkeye killed a shitload of Chitauri and Hydra goons in the movies with no hesitation at all. MCU Clint is seemingly not shy about killing.

But, if it makes you feel better, just replace Hawkeye with Widow in my earlier post or extra spider pottery.

In the six years I've been where I am, I've not heard anything about relations between older and younger students. But students and teachers? There's something that happens at least once a year. Gym teacher got fired for having sex with a 17 year old, SRO got fired for the same thing, two teachers got fired for fucking in the teacher's lounge closet, 2nd grade teacher was charged with molesting a couple of his students and fled the area to the nearest city, ect.

You know, looking at the lines on the suit.. Am I the only one who gets the idea that whose were supposed to be where some kind of padding would go? Like when production was designing the suit they made it so that he'd have some kind of protection IF in the event like he got shot or something, and for some reason it didn't translate into the construction of the costume so the bits that would otherwise indicate potential padding somehow got left in?
>>
>>84193130

For the gym teacher, the 17 YO was a girl.

For the 2nd grade teacher.. I think it was boys, but I'm not sure.

>>
>>84192341
He has a nice body. Once he hits the 22, he's going to start to look beefer. Shame he doesn't have ass at all. But tights, arms and warst are beautifully proportioned, and his torso has the right shape.

I'm a drawfag, I tend to look at those details.
>>
>>84192146
Maguire's suit had padded and painted muscles. So that'd do it.
>>
>>84194105
Hits the 22?

How do you calculate good body proportions? You just look real people to copy theirs? I'm learning to draw but bodies are still difficult.
>>
>>84194230
Heads/body ratio, but to be quite honest, there's not magical recipe. Each individual has different proportions: it's not like each mature man has a 8,5/1 height. I also work with point to point proportions, i.e.: elbow to waist, nose and eye to ears, mont to jaw, etc. It usually works better to me, at least. I don't copy, because I've got a very bad eyesight and I cannot see details clear enough (and because it's more fun to just build the body, as if it were a lego, with polygons and lines).

My English isn't quite good. What I meant by "hits the 22" is that, as far as I've noticed, guys start to look like men and not teens once they turn 22-23 yo. And they're on their body peak, at least to my tastes, around the 35 until the early 40's. But that's more a matter of taste. The 22-23 yo is more something I've noticed. And I'm not a science person, to be honest.
