Miles' parents are actually pretty cool during most of Ultimate. They were with him every step of the way as he waited for results to get into a better school; Miles's dad saw the problem with the uncle early and tried to get his brother to back off; the dad then sat Miles down in the park in issue two and was real about him and his brother being up to shit in the past; the parents have protected Miles against those who started putting together Miles identity and came to the house even as they didn't know the truth;Jefferson actually killed a bunch of hydra to get to his family; they have actually assisted Spider Miles against Vemon even as they're like May Parker on anything spiderman; Miles' mother gave him her blessing even as she was dying from helping her son.
They've been involved at multiple levels in Miles life for the most part.
