I had a conversation about the sheer level of drugs being given to kids and their effects. It's a little mind-blowing to see just how many kids (almost always boys) are given Ritalin and other drugs to suppress overly-energetic behavior. Combine this with the high divorce rate, and you have kids who receive far less positive attention from their parents, are told that their behavior is not normal, and get put on mind-blowing drugs for their entire development. I'm going to imagine this has some detrimental effect, potentially leading to the mental condition of today's school shooters.
