>>
>>84027565
He created a sentient being for the sole purpose of using it as a decoy and then destroying it. That's pretty ducked up.
>>
>>84027616
She wasn't created to be sentient. It only happened when they lost their connection with each other.
>>
>>84027587
Now I imagine Tim thrusting his dick into a pile of wet clay while weeping.
>>
>>84027664
And he didn't give a fuck that she took a mind of her own and still reduced her to just being a part of him.

>>84027683
If everything would work out, could they even fuck? Was she anatomically correct?
>>
When has Clayface done anything wrong? In the first episode he just wanted to kill some rich asshole who fucked his and other people's lives over, in the second he just wanted to be human, and in the third one he just wanted to be left alone.
>>
>>84027616
>>84027690

That's a pretty crazy thing to judge anon. If your thumbed get chopped off in an accident and it jumped up and started talking and running around I don't think it would be unethical for you to sew it back where it belongs.
>>
>>84027708
I don't think I'd want a piece of my body back if it started walking and talking

And it wasn't the equivalent of a thumb for Clayface or anything essential.
>>

I think this may be the single most tearjerking episode of any western show I've ever seen

There's also that Justice league episode where he breaks in with Volcana and some other villains to cure himself and it was right there in front of him but Batman showed up and said "nah fuck you."

Let us not forget SHE jumped into Clayface.

His motivation is relatable and his goals are justifiable and in his desperation he takes it too far. You know if you were in his place you would be asking yourself the same questions if not doing the EXACT same thing even while knowing it's wrong

it's called good writing. Snyder apologists need not apply.
>>
>>84027708
It totally would though, that's fucked up. Its origin doesn't matter, its actual state does.
>>
>>84027696

Looking back, Batman was kinda of an arrogant prick in most of TAS: I mean guys like Clayface, Mr. Freeze, Riddler, and Penguin in the episode where he tries to reform but some bitch cucks him all had reasonable explanations to kill the assholes who fucked them over until Batman ruined everything because "Mah justice".

Also that Sewer King one where despite not bothering to do anything when his gators apparently "killed" him as well as being a deranged hobo, Batman saved him anyway.
>>
>>84027869

What's even more ironic is that despite how much Bruce idolizes him, Sherlock Holmes himself didn't really give a fuck when some asshole died and I think in one story actually helped someone kill a prick.
>>
This episode makes no sense, even by Clayface standards!
>>
>>84027696
>>84027869

The goals and motivations of TAS villain are so specific and often related to circumstance that a lot of their problems could be solved Batman would just lighten up and go a bit softer on the JUSTICE angle.

Imagine when Batman first encounters Freeze in heart of Ice, "Ok why am I here? What have you done? You broke into some tech labs, froze some security guards and stole some equipment so here I am to stop you. Lets put the past on the back burner for now. What are you after? OK you need the tech to rejuvenate your frozen wife and you have no means of obtaining it legally. Plus you're a big scary ice suit guy. Alright so how about we use some WayneTech money to help you out? How about we go to the media with your problem? How about Kickstarter? How about we solve this problem legally because it is a problem worth solving and it doesn't NEED to be solved illegally? Then when the problem is solved and the motivation for a life of crime is gone we can talk about punishment for those previous crimes. It's breaking and entering and a little theft and some freezing, I bet the judge will go easy. We'll send you to jail for a few years, your wife can visit once a month and maybe you'll be out early on good behavior."

Instead it's: punch him in the head, send him to Arkham so he can break out once a month and get more and more violent and commit more and more dangerous crimes until eventually he's freezing the entire world and killing millions in a new ice age.

Batman operates outside the law so he should operate OUTSIDE the law, not just be a more blunt and less legal version of it. Especially in a city like the TAS Gotham where police corruption isn't a huge issue.

I didn't understand why Bats was such a dick when he stole the thing for the cure. I mean, wouldn't everything be easier if he was cured. Why didn't Bruce just offer? I get Clayface was stealing, but in the long run you would wind up with a permanent defeat of a powerful enemy.

>>
>>84028039
It wasn't a cure, though. It was a chemical compound that gave him absolute control over his shape. If it had turned him human, no problem, but all this would've done would make him a far more effective criminal.

Empathetic villain stuff aside, Clayface was always a scumbag. The only reason he wound up in this position in the first place was that he was willing to put innocent people in jail while working for a known mob boss. That's a hell of a line to cross just because you don't like looking at your own face in the mirror, accident or no.

That's like saying it's perfectly justifiable for an adult to kill their child only because they created them.

How many of Batman's enemies are actually environmentalists?

There is Poison Ivy of course. Catwoman tries to protect felines both domestic and wild from time to time. Anyone else?
>>
>>84028439

I guess Ra's on the occasion. It really depends on how the writer feels about the issue the villain is fighting for. I writer whose pro-environmentalism for example would probably have a sympathetic nuanced Poison ivy while a writer who couldn't give less of a fuck would have her as a extremist DEATH TO ALL HUMANS I FUCK WEEDS ALL DAY uber strawman nutjob.

Poison Ivy

Penguin

Mr. Freeze

Why isn't there a corp that offers supervillians honest work.
Not like a desk job, but something related to their powers and goals.

>Sure you could rob a bank and get hunted by heros until you have nothing left again. Or you do this very specific thing you can do/ do the work of twenty man while still not working to capacity and get payed like it without getting hunted down
>>
>>84028786
I love it when villains reform. It really validates the no-killing rule superheroes have.
>>
>>84028923
There was also that time he fought Swamp Thing, but after getting his ass kicked he decided Swampy was in the right
>>
>>84028938
Even if there was, some villains aren't just poor people struggling. Some are just assholes who want power or enough money to never work again.
>>
>>84028974
Probably would have done the same thing if Clayface had kicked his ass.
>No, don't kill me. I just want you cured.
>>
>>84028987
It's not like they would employ every supervillian. That would be insane. But some might be helped if they can channel thier power into something productive.
>>
>>84028987

In TAS a great deal of them are just people who are fucked over that see no other option, that's why they're so sympathetic.

It would be. It's no longer "just a thumb". It's now a sapient entity.

The more ethical choice isn't always the easier choice. You might have to go without a thumb so someone can have life.

How many has Batman helped reform (revolving Arkham door doesn't count) vs the amount he had some hand in creating in the comics?

This of course is why women are allowed to devour their children at any stage in life. Because they "made them".
>>
>>84033003

Pretty fucked analogy desu

How about if a fully formed 11 year old popped out of a woman at a random point in their life whether the woman had sex or not and the child's existence impeded the woman's functioning, would the women be allowed to reabsorb the child and return her own functioning to 100% on the spot or does she have some kind of obligation to let the child live at her own expense despite playing no part in the child's creation other than random chance?

Doesn't even seem like it would be controversy hoenstly

Though he could look the part for his roles now he was still a shit actor and decided to just get famous being a supervillain. there was a giant clayface fight in a resovoir somewhere and they both got cured, though it's revealed that he still had some of his powers left over
>>
>>84028938
Not realy an organization but Spider-man did that once. An old supervillain he fought was getting out of jail and his life was crumbling around him (no one hires ex-cons, esspesially supervilain ex-cons, his wife left him, he couldnt see his kids). Rather than kicking his ass as Spider-Man he approached him as Peter and offered him a job at the science place he worked for
