You only need to be able to run at about 40 miles an hour to run on top of water.
With the camera thing, that's a 1950s~60s era camera, so probably about 24 frames per second. So he'd have to beat 1/24th of a second to cross, idk, 10? 15 feet? We'll it 15 feet, then double it because he's got to run back to his chair, so 30 feet. And he actually got caught by the camera, because he was blurring, so we'll call it 1/12th of a second. Nothing clear, just a blur. 30 divided by the quotient of one divided by twelve. 30/(1/12)=360. So 360 feet per second, converted to mph is about 245 mph.
