I still thought she could've been redeemed in My Fair Hatey even after what she did to Hater, I thought she could be redeemed after her attitude about friendship and Sylvia in The Night Out.

Most of the other characters feel earned, they've had episodes or plots that make them feel like they need to be in the show. So far Dom hasn't really rang that bell. I mean, besides the obvious "thing for hater to lust after that he'll never get so take that silly boys" angle.It'll all make sense at the end when she's defeated by sylvia explaining how friendship works when syl tries to save wander who won't fight and would rather stand and be destroyed because if Dom finds destroying fun then wander would rather she had a satisfying destruction of him which ironically makes dom hate him and not want to do it.
But when Sylvia makes friends with Dom and the universe is saved from the female character by the not male lead of the show hopefully then Dominator will feel like an earned character.
As it stands I like the episodes without her more than with her. And I can't say that about any other character in the show.

Her justification is that she's suppose to be the ultimate villain for the show since she's the only person Wander can never hope to redeem. It's suppose to challenge him. It's also suppose to challenge Hater as well as be the ultimate version of him if he goes evil: No friends, ends up alone, etc. That's why it's important for him to accept Wander, so he doesn't turn out like Dominator, even if she's successful, she is alone, and it's constantly hinted at that Hater's biggest internal fear is being alone. That's why he always wants validation from someone cool, why he wants a girlfriend, why he will party even with his hostages because he just wants someone to hang out with.
The problem is she just acts like a more successful version of Hater rather than being her own character so it's kind of boring. She's super one-note and doesn't have a strong enough individual personality or chemistry with any of the characters to be entertaining as anything longer than a minor character, a problem for a series villain. Like, if they were going to go the one-note villain route, I think they should have made her more like Maleficent and super straight-edged and serious who cackles menacingly when she does evil things rather than laughing like a teenager. Hater is already our acts-like-a-teen villain, we don't need a genderbent version.

I wonder who would have been the main villain or what would have been the big problem of season 3 if they could have made it like they wanted to. Cartoons tend to get more serious as they progress so I doubt it would have been episodical fun stuff like season 1 with a bit more character background and stretching the Dominator arc for two seasons sounds wrong as well.

It had kickass music, if only it wasn't a dynamic soundtrack but a regular one. And the different attack themes changed properly instead of being fixed on the same tune.
RA3 could've rocked if it didn't have completely fucked up economy. You can barely afford 1 unit of any kind, and any hard counter is an extremely hard counter, so you have to micromanage every goddamn thing. Lose part of your air force? GG right there.

It's also suppose to challenge Hater as well as be the ultimate version of him if he goes evil: No friends, ends up alone, etc.
Except that she doesn't come off like that at all. We've seen her try to talk with her bots like friends and get bored on her own. She was touched when Syl reached out to her and there's quite clearly a redeemable streak in her that just keeps snapping back to evil for evils sake which is 2D as fuck. I don't really see the hater comparison, I mean yeah he'd love to have all her cool toys but the adulation he gets from his watchdogs (he always calls himself superstar and ' hates great, best villain') is something he wouldn't get from magma bots. He knows he needs the watchdogs, he lets them keep their TV show.
Yeah she is kinda boring, and one dimensional. I just really hope they can twist the character enough to make her actually likeable. Give her some redeeming quality that makes me go 'okay she earned her existence' because you're right, genderbent hater with less friends isn't really filling a need the show needs, At this point the big bad could have been a sentient black hole that enjoys eating galaxies and it would have served the same function. They've got a hell of a job ending this show with 20 minutes left on the clock.
It'd redeem Dom if she won, and the show ended with her destroying the galaxy. But wander puts a timelock in place so they're destined to repeat their last year or two for ever, so he can eternally try and fix hater, and that's also them giving the finger to being put into syndication.
