Sadly he is not able to make money from his unpopular comic and his home is filled with thousands of unsold books (sold fewer than 50). The comic is not unpopular because it's a bad comic, it's AMAZING as far as Josh is concerned. The problem is that the internet only likes shitty webcomics an quality isn't appreciated, so he can't compete.

He was top dog in the early webcomic days, made tons of money from Girly and was even part of running some big webcomic collective(s?) that made him even more money for almost no work.
His easy fame made him arrogant, lazy and unwilling to improve his craft, his art has even deteriorated visibly over the years. Once more and better artists started doing webcomics he rapidly fell into obscurity, and because of his arrogance he doesn't undertand what happened.

Hell, the comic itself begins with her boyfriend being raped in an alley by a succubus. She then beats up her raped boyfriend and then becomes friends with the rapist, who then ties up and gags her college professor for her to rape. Which she does.

Yeah, okay, I haven't even glanced at his comics for a minute and this attitude already tells me they're shit.
I've followed Lesnick's stuff for close to two decades now, from way back in the pre-internet days when he drew awful Wendy porn for Radio Comix. And the one thing that always blows my mind is how he has consistently failed to improve even the tiniest bit in all those years. His art has always been ugly and lazy and on the wrong side of 'sketchy'. Messy and sloppy and visually unappealing.
God forbid this narcissistic, whiny asshole should actually study anatomy and learn how to draw, but no. His was the first generation raised on anime and it shows. I also love how he's always blamed his unending failures on everything except the ugly truth: Josh Lesnick is bad at making comics.

He started out imitating Jim Davis then moved on to aping Ryuusuke Mita (dragon half creator, thus the reason why Josh's girls used to have beak-chins) and finally cribbing off of John K.

I actually have one of the You Suck books.
It is roughly the size of an end table surface. It's big, ugly, and almost a perfect square. The cover is awful. The inside is worse. Each page is filled with three vertical comics lined up next to each other in a way that is practically unreadable. All in a garish, eye-piercing hot pink. It is an awful, awful book and I regret backing the kickstarter.
But that's not why he quit webcomics. That's not why he didn't pull through on his other kickstarter. That's not why he abandoned Doctor Voluptua. The reason is because he's lazy and he wants to coast off his past successes. He feels entitled to success because he made some hits in the past, and now feels like his new shit should automatically be as loved without putting in the effort.
Josh Lesnick was the first webcomic artist I ever followed, and I hate what he's become.
