I recall in the episode with Claw's Japanese counterpart, said vlain called him 'crab faced' or some shit. I dunno if that face is crabby but one thing I DO recall is in one of the... two episodes that took place in outer space, you saw DrClaw's head silhouette in the front windshield of the Clawmobile. His head was, as far as I can tell the same basic shape as MAD's devil logo

Only problem I have with is is that his gauntlet (which is all we see of him in the cartoon) makes him appear to be huge, and it turns out he's just a scrawny mad scientist looking type instead.
