Leandro Fernandez, overall the guys that worked with Ennis got the Cowboy/Military Man look down. I feel Mitch Gerads went too military in his design. The original costume is a classic and contrary to popular belief, it does in fact "make sense" for the character; the costume is just a military wet suit(I'm not even sure if this is the right word) streamlined to meet a slight Superhero aesthetic, or more accurately Mack Bolan's getup given a more superhero approach.

I liked the old Punisher War Journals from back in the day. It was as street level as it came (as far as I was concerned back then) and Frank felt like he was just a guy who was doing what he could until it caught up with him and killed him.
Batman felt like stupid ninja tricks and costume jewelry.
I have been catching up on some Punisher I have missed over the years and it has been good.
The format of his comics works so well when it is on but then is so easy to screw up and so many Punisher things do that.

I read Dixon's super drugs issues in War journal. The arc was three issues long, and Dixon had more character and plot in the first issue at about 24 pages than most current action comics, and some Punisher stories. The cliffhangers Dixon had actually made me want to read the next issue, unlike Edmonson and even maybe Rucka. I don't have much to say about the current run, you know two issues and all that.

I'm sure it was Dixon, in it Frank had his own War machine suit to fight two guys high on super PCP. Also Dixon wrote the precursor to Ennis' Frank monolog about pulling the trigger on everything in upbw, Dixon did in three small panels.

My favorite thing about Garth Ennis' Punisher MAX series isn't Frank though. It's the degenerate villains. How absolutely cheerfully awful everyone is in that series makes you love them, but also makes you enjoy watching them get Frank'd.
In my opinion the worst parts were the stuff which focused too much on Frank's character and background.

There's no order, it's all random.
The women from Widowmaker are there (well, besides the redhead, as I couldn't get a good group shot that included her).
I wanted a group shot of the Welcome to the Bayou family, but there wasn't anything good enough, so in the end I just went with individual pics of the main four (the father, the fuckhueg son, the slightly less fuckhueg son, and the daughter) so not RatFace.
Like I said, I don't like it as much as the 616 one. I'd add another row, but muh symmetry.

what are punisher fans thoughts on Netflix Daredevil's Punisher?
I only finished watching it the other day, and I feel like he's cool, but probably a bit too loud and impulsive
like when he shoots up the hospital and nearly hits Karen (I counted like 3 times she was nearly hit instead of the guy she was protecting), and yet Frank assures her she was in no danger?
I'm more a fan of MAX though, so I like the idea of Punisher meticulously planning out his attacks to involve the least number of civilians
liked the prison fight, felt very gritty and messy rather than a choreographed fancy fight, it was very oldboy
looking forward to his own series though, I just hope it has as much internal narration as I'm used to, because that really helps with figuring out his mindstate and goes to show just how much planning he actually did
