Aw yee, we're doing this.
For those who don't know, Glory was a Liefeld creation who was basically an edgier version of Wonder Woman. She's the offspring of Demeter, queen of the Amazons and Silverfall, demon lord of the Underworld. Like all things Liefeld, she was pretty crap. But like several other shitty Liefeld characters (Deadpool probably being the most popular one), someone else took the character, changed them around a bit, and made them into something cool.
First there was Alan Moore, who wrote a couple of issues for her, expanding on her mythology and giving her a human alter-ego, Gloria West. I have no idea if these were any good since I never read them. But, since it's Moore, I'm at least willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.
In 2011, Joe Keatinge wrote the story we're going to read today. This story retcons some of Glory's background, makes significant changes to Glory herself and adds in a dose of sci-fi, but it's not a complete reboot. All of her old adventures are still more or less canon (though depicted in a somewhat different light) and they even kept the old numbering, starting with issue #23.
If you want to know more, feel free to google or wiki her, but it's not necessary for enjoying this story.
That's enough introduction, so let's get started. I bring you Glory!

This guy's art is so weird, especially in this series it makes me think of a fetish webcomic or something
Nanaja is pretty hot, though. Would bang.

The story starts here.
As always, feel free to comment, discuss, or just bump the thread. A lively thread is a fun thread. Just please don't post any pictures, since I'll been all the room I can get.

I should probably mention that while this comic isn't gore-porn on the level of Luther Strode (go read that if you haven't, it's great!), it still has quite a few gory scenes in it. Just a heads-up, in case that's not your thing.

The story ends here.
I'm going to take a quick break here. When I return, let's go and find out what happened in between.
This was one of the first comics I bought when I got back into comics a couple years ago and it was thanks to /co/ I even knew about it.
>Ladies of different body types
>Monsters of all shapes and sizes
>Over the top violence that knows its over the top
>The hero andvillain of the story being the same perseon
Just so good.

Weird story. When I first read Glory, I got this weird feeling from Campbell's work that I couldn't quite place, especially when I went on to read some of Wet Moon in a /co/ storytime. The shortest way to explain it is it somehow didn't "feel" like a guy's art.
Flash forward a couple years and it turns out I was right.

What did he mean by this?
Meme-ary aside, I'm serious. I've read this comic several times and I don't get why Riley was so important to them. I asked the creators, but Sophie said she honestly couldn't remember and Joe just said that the answer was in the book, just kinda hidden.
Any ideas from the /co/ crew?

Riley is the only one who can stop Glory if she goes full planet killer mode (in theory, anyway). The odd thing is that for some unspecified reason everyone in the comic seems to already be aware of this (see also Gloria's comment early on) except Riley herself. Also, nobody seems to have any clue HOW she's supposed to stop Glory, just that she can.
>>83847699
THE HEART OF THE CARDS!
>>83847778
Yeahand by not existing it changes the whole timeline but also gives her a better closure and maybe a better way to deal with things on the future
>>83847778
By the way, now that we've seen Glory's sister... For those who didn't notice it the first time, it might be worth taking another look at page 45 and 46.
