Rule of thumb for Lobo is if the book is written by Keith Giffen or Alan Grant, then is pretty good, if it is drawn by Simon Bisley then it is a most, if you want a point to start with , read the Last Czarnian miniseries and then jump from there to his other miniseries and his old ongoings.

It's not that it's even a bad design per se, it's just so completely incomprehensible why they thought that anyone with any fondness for the character, concept or even NAME of Lobo would ever develop any fondness for a character like this who's introduced this way.

No it's not. A lot of it, especially in the beginning, isn't so bad, but there's plenty enough of both plain shit and bland, uninteresting going-ons to make it awful as a whole.
