Nah it's pretty straightforward and self-contained. If you don't get it, try reading it twice in one go so you catch the little things you missed the first time.

It's very meta, but in my opinion it does it better than his more recent stuff by keeping it on a more personal level instead of going full-on "this guy represents the comic industry and this guy is the readerbase" which is where I tend to tune out in the hypercrisis stuff.
I consider it one of Morrison's best self-contained works, if not the best.
