Should/What if Marvel and DC impliment Jim Shooters rules for storytelling in their comics?
Do these rules actually lead to decent books?
Rigid guidelines are never an answer.
And in American comics wrap things up in less issues only translates to more words on each page and bogs down comics.
That's the plot diagram everyone learns in second grade. I would be pretty surprised if many comics don't follow those rules.

I feel like a lot of manga is too decompressed honestly. but fair point. a lot of Silver Age marvel books hit a climax on page 19 and wrap up hilariously quick.

I feel like you don't have a proper understand of what decompression is or where it even actually began in comics.

I'd prefer more words over everything being decompressed to buggery.
if it takes until issue six to establish the main conflict, stakes, and motivations in your twelve issue book, you've wasted the first six issues and already lost all your readers.

i'm mostly sterotyping long multi-issue/volumes fights

I see your point, but fuck off namefag.

Well yeah
Because the comics Shooter is talking about spear heading in that post are already decompressed.
