I'm gay and totally attracted to Chris Evans, but this shit with trying to convert long standing characters like this needs to stop.
I don't give a shit what sexual orientation a character is unless they are trying to make that the whole point of their character, the same way I don't care if my neighbor is in to kinky bdsm or whatever unless they are hanging it in my face.
This wouldn't be a win for gay people, it just helps drive the otherness of them, and doesn't build good will.
