Honestly, I don't even like thinking about them as actual seasons, but as spin-offs. They got a story and art overhaul, they had new themes and subtitles (Fast Forward, Back to the Sewer), and everything was wrapped up neatly before they began. Plus, they never explained why Leo's back was all of a sudden just fine. I don't think turtle shells regenerate. All of these things combined just made them pretty much new shows, in my eyes.

They see fit to wage war upon every other facet of the entire franchise, for some reason perpetually butthurt about the 80's cartoon, which I can understand to a point, but also 1990 movie which to this day is almost universally praised.

Just because some assholes shitted on the rest of the franchise, doesn't mean all of us do, I always liked the movie even before watching the 2k3 turtles, and while i think the 88 show hasn't aged that well i understand its importance to the franchise and recognize his humor as a strong point, hell the 2k3 turtles were the reason that got me into reading the mirage comics, I still watch the nick version of the turtles.

2K3fag here, while I will admit that its my favorite interpretation of the Turtles and that I do think all the movies have been subpar to say the least, I really do enjoy the IDW series, have a soft spot for the original show, perfectly fine with the Nick show even though its not really my thing, own a ton of games and some of the Mirage stuff too.

I really hope you don't believe that any time a movie shows the perspective of other characters it 'steals' time away from the protagonist.
