They steal the show
>>83440667
Well, they're thieves.
>>83440667
Can you ever truly steal what was always yours?
>>83440667
I'm pretty sure there are only two outcomes to their inclusion,
absolute show stealers,
or nails in the coffin

>>83440667
There wasn't much of a show to steal. And they weren't nearly as cool as their current comic book counterparts, so I was pretty underwhelmed, actually.
Those two, Gary Antony Williams and Sheamus, along with Tyler Perry seemed to be having the most fun. Laura Linney seemed like she bare.y wanted to be there and Stephen Amell was mediocre at best, I can just imagine Tyler taking Sheamus and Anthony out for drinks during the production while Laura stayed in her trailer every night.
>>83440886
underrated post
>>83441658
Wait, Laura LINNEY is in this movie?
>>83441610
There is a comic book?
>>83440890
Seriously, they were always great characters.
>>83442274
IDW has put out a really great comic series in recent years of TMNT. if you like TMNT at all, you owe it to yourself to track it down and read it.
>>83442454
Something to check out anyway.
>>83442454
Who's writing it?
>>83442274
Yes, there is a current comic book by IDW. Also, TMNT started out as a comic before it was a (much more kid-friendly) cartoon show.
Bad, stupid, wasted opportunity of a movie.
But Bebop and Rocksteady were 100% great.
>>83442567
Tom Waltz, I believe.
>>83442606
Okay. Thanks.
>>83440667
I just watched the movie. They're really annoying, Shredder essentially put his faith in Beavis and Butt-Head.
>>83442778
>Shredder essentially put his faith in Beavis and Butt-Head.
and them being beavis and butt-head is the only thing keeping them from steamrolling the turtles
>>83442778
That's pretty cool
hhhheh heh
>>83440667
Is it any good? Honestly the trailers did look a lot more fun than the first one, mostly because of those two. But is it any good?
>>83443004
I saw it last night. It was pretty fucking miserable.
>>83442778
so its just like the cartoon then
>>83442889
>Uh huh huh huh huh Hey Bevis.
>Yeah? Heh hmh hmh hmh
>We're furries. Huh huh huh huh
>Heh hehh hehh Yeah! I WILL YIFF NOW! Hehh hmm hmm hehh hehh!
>>83442778
If you were trying to make it sound bad you did a piss poor job.
>>83440667
Why couldn't we have these guys back in 92 when everyone wanted them? Why did they go with Tokka and Razar?
>Why couldn't we have these guys back in 92 when everyone wanted them?
Because Gary Anthony Williams and Sheamus weren't actors yet.
>>83440667
Was Rocksteady irish in the 90s cartoon?
>>83443375
What did you think of the first movie?
>>83442778
>I just watched the movie. It's exactly like the cartoon.
Good.
>>83443566
But they would have been the teenagers Bebop and Rocksteady actually were.
>>83443613
Yeah, but their acting wouldn't have been as good. Gary wouldn't have previously played Stevie's father in Malcolm in the Middle or Mufasa in The Lion Guard or Uncle Ruckus on the Boondocks. And Sheamus would yet to have become a world champion professional wrestler.
>>83443605
Also miserable. Both of them weren't even the kind of bad that you can laugh at. They were just BAD. Bland, boring, forgettable and stupid in the worst ways. It certainly doesn't help that the current comics and cartoons are a million times better in every regard, so when you fuck up the feature film this hard, I really have no reason to search for something that will redeem it.
In fact, the first was so bad, I swore I wouldn't see the second one, but lately, movies are less about the actual movie, and more about just hanging out with friends and grabbing a pizza afterward, so whatevs.
>that spaghetti scene

>>83442274
This is how white Sheamus is
>>83445903
I mean....basically. She doesn't do or say shit though.
>>83445363
There's a short scene where Bebop and Rocksteady are gorging on spaghetti in red sauce from large buckets, no hands, mouths only. Bebop stops eating, stands up and jiggle his belly saying "Hey Rock, do I look fat like this?"
Rocksteady pulls himself away from eating, hesitating, then says "Uuuuhhh, nooooo...it makes you look REALLY FAT!!" He then proceeds to smack Bebop's belly, chest, and they get all close and belly bumpy. Rock also says something like "that must be jelly in that belly..."
Then Shredder interrupts them and they snap to attention.
I couldn't have come up with a yummier scene.
>>83446413
Oh, total spoiler fail on my part...
OH WELL.
>>83440667
I need to see this. It will be like Punisher War Zone. It is faithful to the source material and fun. Nothing deep or meaningful just fun. Critics have seen a shit ton of bad movies so I get why they dislike these types of films.
>>83446456
The problem is even though it's faithful in places, it doesn't use them right. It basically teases you with shit and never actually DOES anything with it. There's good ingredients in this movie, rest assured it's a really bad movie though.
>>83444239
So, if you liked the first one you should like this one?
>>83446525
>rest assured it's a really bad movie though
it's a bay movie, this was implied from the start.
>>83443510
If I'm remembering correctly (and I might not be), the director wanted to have large intimidating looking mutants for the turtles to go up against but was told that if he wanted to use Bebop and Rocksteady that he'd have to keep them like the goofy cartoon versions and he didn't want to do that. Or something like that. So he came up with Tokka and Razar.
>>83445551
>whites have more Neanderthal DNA in them than blacks.

>>83446686

>>83446261
He is very white
>>83446782
Both European and Asians. I imagine a lot of Afr-Ams would have some Neanderthal DNA by now.
>>83446261
I'm almost disappointed in how I'll never be that white.
How will other whites accept me if I can't blind people with how pale I am?
How was my boy Amell?
>>83442274
I find it utterly repugnant that someone who doesn't know that there is a comic book of the Ninja Turtles is allowed to browse this board...
Regardless, there is on ongoing from IDW that is pushing 60 issues. It's been consistently great. Bebop and Rocksteady themselves just got a mini-series set within the same continuity. First issue was out this week, pic related.
>>83446999
Forgettable.
>>83446999

>>83447496

>>83442778
>Shredder essentially put his faith in Beavis and Butt-Head.
So, it's like the cartoon then.
>>83440667
They look more like a pair of goofy youtubers. The kind that review silly looking household appliances while being drunk as fuck. I'm excited.
>>83447578
Oh no, it's true.
Shredder shoots the two with darts and they instantly change into their respective animals. No other contact with animals, no mutagen mixing, just...lazy plot.
>>83443479
>>83443610
>>83447590
The purpose of an adaptation is to try to produce something different with a different medium. Not to make it just like the 1980s cartoon, but with 100% more Megan Fox. That's not quality.
The cartoon had its time. Move on.
>>83447716
That kind of thinking is what gave us Man of Steel.
>>83447685
This sounds just as stupid (if not more) as finding out Splinter because a ninja master from reading a picture book.
It's weird to have no expectations for a movie yet to have it still manage to disappoint you.
>>83446413
I seriously can not wait to see this movie now
Don't forget the scene where Bebop and Rocksteady, shortly just after having been mutated, check to see how big their dicks are now, then high five over it.

There's truth to this. I know an irish girl. She's got this strange otherworldly nature about her. Sometimes I think she may be a space elf.

>>83448406
They are more like ayy lmaos than white people.
They're too based for us humans.

>>83447835
The MCU is no different from Man of Steel, in the sense that they took characters from one medium, and adapted them to work for another. Both had to make the necessary changes in order for the look to be complete. This current TMNT film franchise is just cartoonish for the sake of being cartoonish, appealing only to children and mindless baboons.
>>83446999
It was pretty bad.
Are these movies any good?
I pretty much straight up ignored the first one's existence after seeing that Michael Bay did it, and seeing the nasty faces they gave the Turtles.
>>83450409
Michael Bay didn't directed it though. And the movies are fine. Nothing extraordinary.
>>83450409
They're watchable, but they are bad movies.
>>83448753
Maybe she is a fairy folk. You should probably try and tap that.
>>83440667
I'd watch this movie for Sheamus alone.
>>83451951
FOOKIN right y'are.
>>83442842
And Don never thought to make enough anit-mutagen to turn them back to human form after their first encounter?
>>83453202
No, that would've required better writing.
It was okay, seems like a movie a child would love for nostalgia and grow up and realized it wasn't great.
Anyone else really fucking salty about Shredder? Obviously he'll be back, that's a no brainer. And it'll be some classic Krang/Shredder shenanigans I was expecting was going to happen here. But the fact that he didn't do anything followed byI was frozen todaymade me really annoyed, as with a better actor I was hoping we would get him in at least one fight.
They should have had an ending teaser (though not after the credits) with Krang in a worse position and Shredder, very brugedingly realizing he might need him.
Though maybe I'm just annoyed because I'm a big Shredder fan and I feel like 9 times out of 10 he gets the short end of the stick.
>>83440890
Liking this incarnation of them.
The slapstick and comedic elements are still there, but they can be really darn dangerous.
>>83454469
He was COMPLETELY wasted. Utterly and totally. He wore his helmet for what? An entire minute of screen time? So stupid. He doesn't do shit the whole movie really... Which sucks balls cause he looks great.
>>83448673
Nutted but she still sucking
>>83455586
Exactly! I was hoping for something, and nothing fucking came. Again, maybe they're setting up for classic Krang and Shredder banter for the 3rd film, with Krang making Shredder do things and both of them hate each other, but that's what, 2 years away now?
He was barely in the first movie, thanks to that whole Eric Sachs thing, and this movie he did absolutely nothing. I can't believe I'm going to have to wait another film just to see him in proper action, and even then I doubt that'll happen because that'd be putting too much faith in the writers.
Oh well. At least Bebop and Rocksteady were great.

>>83442778

To hell with Captain America being gay, why can't these two be actual boyfriends?
>>83454469
I kept waiting for him to show when Krang was defeated. But.. dammit. what a waste of a intimidating Shredder.
>>83450409
MB's just producing it. It's basically bad-good movies, like watching the third Transformers movie. Passable, underwhelming/disappointing but not entirely disgusting.
>>83458047
It only has internet co-op. But no local co-op. So if you're looking to invite some friends over and play it for a few hours, it sucks.
Also the game is only four hours (plus thirty minutes of cut scenes). There's supposedly hidden bossesThere's some way were you can fight both Bebop and Rocksteady, but the game is supposedly repetitive.
>>83454469
The even worst part is he looked so awesome without the black make-up around his eyes. Also why the fuck did Karai keep going with the plan when she hadn't heard hide nor hair from Shredder?

The movie was goofy and that's all I wanted.
All i've seen is a few previews. The actors look like the craziest nigga and craziest white boy they could find. When they act, its like they're trying to constantly be stupider than the other.
I actually want to see the movie because of this.

Me too. I kept thinking "Alright, cool, looks like we're going to have Krang defeated and he'll bring up Shredder for backup." because the fight with Krang didn't really feel great, Bebop and Rocksteady took the cake in nearly every category, including their fights.
