It's pretty obvious how Homestuck ended, but the problem was that it wasn't satisfying. After Caliborn's Masterpiece, we already knew what was going to happen. The kids were going to create the new universe, dick around in it for a while, fight Caliborn, get trapped in the Juju, and come out and fight LE. The problem is that there's no catharsis -- we don't get to see the fight. Homestuck's never really been a comic about action scenes, but it would've been fitting to have one just for the very end, if only to provide satisfaction for the readers who want to see exactly how the comic ends. Take Cascade, for example. We already know by that point that Jack Noir entered A2 and started going around, killing all of the trolls and whatnot. What we don't know, however, is exactly how it happened. Even though Hussie could've said "oh, it's a puzzle, and if you put together the pieces, you'll realize that there was a frog switch in the exile station bluh bluh", he didn't. Instead, we saw a great scene showing exactly how Jack was able to make it to A2, providing catharsis, catharsis never delivered by Act 7.

I personally think that Hussie is a great feminist, and is easy to tell from his work, especially Homestuck, where half of his characters were women, all of them badass, strong, smart and independent (yes, even Feferi and Jane, even if some people say about these two otherwise) each of them with an interesting personality, two females (Vriska, Alt!Calliope) being the ones who defeated the sexist main villain, two females getting the shit done BETTER than any male (Roxy and PM) and beautiful friendship between women per general. its all down to how the comic always wants it both ways, it wants character death, but not the narrative downsides of that, so we get the dreambubbles, it wants the high stakes of universe destruction, but none of the narrative downsides, so we get sociopath characters who don't really give a shit about anything
this was always the problem with homestuck, and it's completely inextricable from the story at this point, there's no running it back

I disagree, another arc could fix it, so long as it has solid quality and manages to do some major work on the Beta kid's character arcs and gives them some resolution. It wouldn't fix everything, but it would be enough to make the experience a satisfying one.

All you need is a twist to get the main cast off doing another thing with an actual conclusion and you could easily close up everything they need done. Some tight writing could bring each of them to their conclusion's in just few scenes each, they are all very close.
And yeah, none of this going to be done, and Hussie couldn't pull it off if he tried, but a solid conclusion would do a lot to diminish the damage caused by the retcon and post-retcon events.
