See, a problem is, Red Skull is known for just being in this buisness for himself at this point. He just keeps with the nazi shtick because it's the only game he knows (and it's not like people would give him anything but scorn if he did change his game.)
Hell, the Nazi's wouldn't have gotten what they wanted even IF they had succeed. Their military installations and mass transit systems unifying Europe would have eroded the various local ethnic flavor they wanted to preserve (that's not even accounting for the mass resettlement and collonization plans set up.)
German culture would have rotted from the inside as imperial power, goods and inevitably cultures flowed inward towards the heart of their Reich. French, British and Slavic cultures would first see suppression, and then a resurgence across the Reich in later generations as the wealthy Germanic youth sought out a counterculture to distinguish their identity from the overwhelming Germanic movement.
Eventually their surety in their own superiority and the universality of their culture would be their downfall as the military becomes a path to citizenship for colonized peoples. Inevitably the military and then the government no longer represents the origional ethnicity, and the Reich Balkanizes like the Roman Empire before it. Eventually the colonies and fringes take up the standard and inheritance of their fallen, degenerated oppressor, and the cycle begins anew.
Why murricans are so obsessed with nazis? America enter very late into the war and for pissing off a Germany's ally, Japan. Before that, there was a huge movement against going to the war on Europe but the criticism was shutting down with Pearl Harbor and a huge media campaign. After the war, America received many nazi scientists. It was just business, the winners of WW2 literally divided the world.
In any case, Russia has more valid reasons to be obsessed with the nazis. They were invaded, millions died and more important, they actually won the war. Only murricans believe USA won Hitler and not the soviets

To be fair, the liberation of France made a much better story, they're an oldtime American ally, we've always tried to cover and clean up for them if we can (ex: Vietnam.)
The relief of Britain made for much better economics (world trade, and anglo culture ties)

The first three panels are absolutely spot on.
It can't even be denied anymore. You have German politicians literally telling the native people to leave Germany if they don't agree with their ethnic replacement. You have German police sitting around while the "refugees" engage in criminal activity but the moment the natives rally, they roll out tear gas and water cannons.

More signifantly, there were already a significant number of people who were against the war (either staying out entirely, selling to both sides or even aiding Germany - IIRC a LIFE poll in '41 had only ~20% of respondents in favor of entering the war and another ~20% or so in favor of propping up the UK and USSR as we were) and considering that 400,000 young Americans died only to have the USSR - an existential threat to the US and eventually pretty much mankind as a whole - gobble up huge chunks of land while most of western civilization lay in shambles the US government needed to pull a moral victory out of its hat and the Holocaust (conveniently expanded to Israel when Israel was formed) fit the bill nicely because there wasn't much anti-Jewish sentiment in the US in the first place and since the mid-30s anti-semitism became the Nazi calling card. So basically, anyone who later said "what the fuck why did we get into WWII" was an anti-semite and therefore a Nazi.
