Don't post anything disgusting or fetish related (unless the art style is superb, then i can let it slide), also keep offensiveness stuff to a minimum

A Better Place
https://tapastic.com/series/A-BETTER-PLACE

I don't really hear about these comics around here. But they're pretty good.
>>
>>83157897
I abandoned k6bd when I caught up a while ago and heard about the update schedule. I might try to get into it again.

Erfworld would be at the top of my suggestion list. It has amazing worldbuilding (being basically /tg/ the comic), and the Rob is really good at writing smart people trying to outmaneuver each other.

As far as other, lesser known good webcomics:
Scrub Diving, Nevermind the Gap (completed), and anything else by Forview; I listed those two specifically because the plot to porn ratio is higher on the plot side for those to compared to the rest of their works. NSFW, obviously.
Erma. Ghost girl from The Ring, but cute. No real continuity, but fun slice of life stuff.
The Non-adventures of Wonderella. Parody of cape comics, lots of puns (though generally of a higher quality than your general pun-based joke). The most recent page is one of the best ones in recent memory; give that one a read and if you don't like it you can probably safely drop it. No continuity.
Darths and Droids. Another /tg/ based comic, this one is a group of people playing a DnD clone of Star Wars, in a universe where the movies never happened. Very funny, especially in the subtler ways it makes fun of the prequels.
Two Guys and Guy. Gag-a-day comic with no continuity, based around 3 sociopathic friends.
Annarasumanara. Korean webcomic about a poor girl who meets a possibly crazy street magician. It is strongly suggested that you search google for the fan translation on a mange scanlation site instead of reading the official translation on Naver. Excellent, non-standard art and design.

As far as popular comics that you've probably heard of, but should read if you haven't - Gunnerkrigg Court, Bad Machinery, Awkward Zombie, JL8. Prequel if it ever updates again.

>>83156149
Is that really your favorite comic?

Just bu looking at that pic i can tell it is shit

I don't understand how so many people can keep drawing their comics without improving their art

From time to time random people appears in the "how is your webcomic going" thread to show comics that they have been drawing for years and sometimes the art is cringeworthy from page one to the latest one.

Meanwhile i keep redrawing the first pages of my comic every day because while i may feel proud of some drawings when finish them, i wake up the next day, i look at them again and realize that i can do something better so i end up trowing them away and start again from zero
>>
>>83162063
>Has it aged well?

The early chapters have aged decently, but as the comic goes on it just mutates into a beast with a thousand mouths.

>Meanwhile i keep redrawing the first pages of my comic every day because while i may feel proud of some drawings when finish them, i wake up the next day, i look at them again and realize that i can do something better so i end up trowing them away and start again from zero

Your ability to self-criticize is admirable but if you keep throwing away your work you'll never produce anything.

I never state or even alluded to el goonish to being my favorite one, i just picked one i thought was popular but didn't absolutely suck

Also, i prefer that when anons criticize a suggested post that they at least post one thats better. Something along the lines of; el goonish shive sux, you should read (insert webcomic here) it's way better desu
>>
>>83162518
Probably not, honestly. Most of what I read is the basic mass-digested stuff, or things that likely have a place on the 'bad webcomic wiki'. Mostly, I was hoping to keep some dialogue going on 'Kill Six Billion Demons' because, as I said, I can understand that it's definitely good just... didn't hook me.

Although, I DID once try and start a webcomic of my own. The first few issues were basically a prank war that followed the Weird Al song 'Do you remember Larry?'
>>
>>83163403
That... sounds oddly apt. If I remember correctly, the time I stopped checking in was around when the Immortals were introduced.
Weirdly, outside of the main cast, the most memorable character to me was Hedge and his 'Master of the Anti-Climax' gag.

http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/03/02/episode-001-were-going-where/
Outside of that, I keep up with HE IS A GOOD BOY. About an acorn trying to find his place in life by the creator of gunshow. Gore, toilet humor and some twisted imagery being prominent. Frequently funny and plenty of memorable moments so far.

Pic has some good webcomics.
Recommended lists only show a fraction of what's out there, and people's tastes have wide range.

I prefer character based long story forms, exceptions noted, better ones first:

Gunnerkrigg Court, urban fantasy
Octopus Pie, slice of life
Skurry, survival without humans
Derelict, survival sci fi
The Property of Hate, unconventional hero
All John Allison's works: Scary Go Round, new Bobbins, Bad Machinery, Giant Days (original on web now in print)
Kill Six Billion Demons, world building
Christopher Baldwin's works in part, especially Space Trawler
Widdershins, pre-Victorian light magic
Girls with Slingshots, fun characters, undemanding plot
The Non-adventures of Wonderella, gag-a-week
Oglaf, NSFW gag-a-week
Ava's Demon, for the art but writing problematic, only for the hiatus-tolerant
Mary Cagle's works
Monster Pulse, wasn't interested at first
The Bouletcorp, journal comic short form, different topic each update
Dr McNinja, comedy
Whomp, depression, more gag-a-day than story, has fun lore
Mare Internum, sci-fi on Mars, variable art, I skipped all the boring initial text
Gaia online, magic fantasy, not for all tastes
Girl Genius, started well, lost me some years back, hoping it re-sparks my interest, off-putting art
Blindsprings
Jesus & Mo, criticism of religious dogma
Wondermark,
The End, scifi but plot's dragging

I wouldn't consider any of above to be obscure.

I have such complicated feelings for that comic. On the one hand, every time I read it I get really frustrated with it because of how not very good it is, but it's still the only webcomic from my middle school days I still haven't dropped and the only story based comic I still read. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back for more.

That anon meant that you are being picky abuout people not posting ''bad webcomics'' while you post one with terrible artwork.

Hasn't that comic being around for years and the artwork still looks like that?

I've been thinking of dropping it. There's some story there that I want to see where it goes or get some questions answered but the pacing is so slow sometimes and then it'll just randomly jump right as things are starting to get interesting. Anymore now I just check it as part of my daily routine.
