I like it because it has a great Halloween aesthetic.
I love Halloween so much, it was always the highlight of the entire year for me which comes naturally seeing I've been a huge monster and horror fan ever since I was conceived, so naturally, I will instantly love and appreciate anything that's exploding with Halloween flavor and can appeal to my tastes.

I love Autumn as a whole myself. I find the weather and atmosphere very appealing.
My neighborhood is the perfect Halloween neighborhood too, a lot of kids and families here so trick-or-treating is eventful, lots of Halloween and costume parties go on and the neighborhood itself looks perfect. Ghoul School would definitely be brought up, it was in Ed's Magnificent Mullet's early Halloween thread but the conversation over Ghoul School actually didn't last too long. We mostly talked about Halloween specials, Scary Godmother, skeletons and Night of The Were Ed so that's pretty cool. I love Monster Girls myself but Ghoul School has just become overrated.

But still, Scary Godmother was THE anime that defined the monster girl harem/werewolf waifu genre. You can find traces of it's influence in every modern anime of that genre.
It's arguably just as crucial a piece in anime history for the things it did wrong. Scary Godmother was the last anime that drew every frame by hand, with the artistic direction of trying to recreate mid 00's cgi. A real unsung hero for forever guiding anime away from that direction and towards less experimental, more practical art styles like Cory in the House's feat of putting in so much painstaking detail that it truly mirrors real life in the format of a high-speed manga flipbook.
